Travel day and first day in Asheville is in the books. We were up at 4 am to catch an early flight into town & then spent most of the day waiting for our room, so it was all about a versatile travel outfit I could wear to walk around the hotel and grounds, lunch and a casual dinner. We were SO tired!! We’re staying at the Inn at the Biltmore and it’s the most elegant hotel I’ve ever seen. We drove around the grounds of Biltmore (which is so stunning I forgot to take pictures), spent time in the Village, met up with the bride and groom, had dinner in the hotel’s Library Lounge and called it an early night so we will be well rested for a full day of touring and wedding celebrations the next day! As I was washing my face I realized the rose in a vase on the bathroom vanity is real and smells divine! All the little touches here take it to the next level!

These are my go to, most used sunless tanning products. Most of the year I use the dark option, but if you already have a medium skin tone I would go with the ultra dark or platinum options. I took a $15 cotton sun dress and added a linen blazer, suede espadrilles and a small linen tote to wear to a business meeting last week…and every woman there wanted to know where I got my dress (Walmart!!)! When I got home, I ditched the jacket (it was 90°), threw on some slides and put my hair up for the rest of the day. I love an easy versatile piece! I’m wearing the dress and blazer in size XS-they’re both roomy. The dress has a drawstring waist and pockets and comes in several other colors. I’ve had this dress since March and I’ve been waiting for the perfect occasion to wear it-and it was perfect for Mother’s Day brunch! It has an a-line shape so it’s not too clingy (roomy enough to fully enjoy a buffet brunch). Paired it with my favorite pumps and a lightweight cardigan because holy air conditioning!

The day was almost perfect-our older son was in Houston so I was batting .500 on kids in attendance but it was still a fantastic day! Feeling loved and appreciated is always a good day! Now on to the rest of the week!

If you’re looking for a comfortable easy sandal that will work with all your summer casual outfits, look no further! Yes, this is the oddest combination of pieces that does not necessarily make for a cohesive outfit, so let’s look at it piece by piece.

The cardigan is very similar to my favorite soft striped one but comes in several solid colors. Great to have for cold commercial spaces.

The crochet v neck tank is STUNNING. Runs TTS, wearing size small, not see through and bra-friendly.

Most people think of layering for colder weather, but here in San Antonio I need layers once all the stores, restaurants and office buildings start cranking up the AC and the outside temps hit 90°. So, for a recent evening out, I put together this outfit that worked inside and out! The blazer is a slightly oversized linen blend, the knit tank underneath comes in the most gorgeous jewel tones, and the jeans are a bit cropped and are a lighter weight denim. I wore this dress last night to the Installation Service for our synagogue’s new senior rabbi, not even realizing that it was Cinco de Mayo. The reception afterwards even went with the Cinco de Mayo theme with Mexican food for dinner, a mariachi band and tequila shots! A little unexpected for a Sunday night but I say celebrate the joyous occasions when you can!!

APRIL 2024 BEAUTY FAVORITES
1. This has been my go to neutral palette all month. It also comes in Cool Nude, this is Warm Nude.
2. If you don’t want to deal with sunless tanners, you need to check out this product. The difference between this and the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs is that this is translucent-your skin texture will show so it’s a more natural look. I have it in Light.
3. Similar to the Body Blur, but this is an SPF 40 silicone free mineral sunscreen. It also comes in a clear version but I prefer the Sunlit shade to help match my face to my fake tan body!
4. This is essentially solid lip gloss. Perfect for air travel if you have to pair down your liquids! It comes in more pigmented shades too but I love Shade 2 to layer over all my other lip products.

I was so excited to wear this jumpsuit (this is my second one, I also have it in black) that I wore it straight out of the package! The material feels so luxurious, it’s bra-friendly, has pockets, comes in so many colors and can be dressed up or down easily.
