I found a few moments between this busy weekend to start setting the mood and my table for Valentine’s Day. Not quite finished but I’m happy with the start of it. I’m happy this year Valentine’s Day falls on a Saturday so I can spend the whole days with my loves! I’ve never been in to the holiday but I love spending the day with my family and eating heart shaped pizza and a sweet treat or two. Pizza on Valentine’s Day has always been a fun and simple tradition since I was little and carried that on with my girls. It’s finally Friday! The girls went back to school on Wednesday and with it being a short week, I have my days mixed up but it also seems like the longest week ever. We’re back to sports and drs visits and everything else in between. I need a break after these three long days. And this heat is insane for March which is part of why I have been so exhausted. Anything hotter than 80 and my MS symptoms go in overdrive and I’m quite literally a hot mess! We’re off to the dentist and then I’ll be right here, sipping iced coffee in the AC!

It’s spring time but it definitely feels like summer here.

And just like that the first week of Spring break has come to an end. Alexa had her wisdom teeth pulled and Amelia is finally free of her lung infection. Auria was the only one healthy and dying to get out of the house so we went to the museum and got smoothies yesterday, it felt good to get out for a bit.

Day vs night. I spent the weekend cleaning up and rearranging the backyard. It’s a full time job keeping it clean with the desert right behind our rock wall and all of the wind we get. I have a new furniture set coming for under the patio. The space is small but I want something that will fit all of us.
I’d also love to add some more faux flowers and pots because if you know me, you know I can’t keep real plants alive!

Good morning!! After receiving some very helpful tips to help me sleep, I was able to sleep 8 hours on Friday,Saturday and last night! It’s the most sleep I have gotten in 5 months and it feels amazing! Here’s to hoping that streak continues.

I’m so glad it’s Friday! I haven’t done much of anything this week as I haven’t been sleeping and it’s only getting worse. So unfortunately I don’t have much to share.
I plan on getting out of the house today to see if I can tire myself out and sleep tonight. I have tried so any natural remedies but haven’t had any luck so far and luck is what I need because 5 hours a night is really starting to affect me.

A sweet and calming welcoming. A drop zone and a space to hold extra seating. Creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional are my top priority when decorating our small home. Sometimes it can be tricky but after living in a large home, I know that I will always choose a smaller one now.

My bed… my favorite place in the house! I’ve been working on decluttering my room and closet because I can’t sleep in a messy space and as I get older, I’m noticing I prefer less stuff around me.

I’m going to miss my bed this weekend as we head out for a very short trip to phoenix for my grandpas service. While I have reservations about going due to a few personal reasons, I am very excited that I’ll have my kids and husband for 48 hours. It seems lately, life has been so busy so spending some time together and sharing a few meals with each other will be good for all of us.
