It’s Friday and I’m excited to say I don’t have anything going on this weekend!! I might take a trip to the thrift store and do some birthday shopping for my oldest who will be 19 next week. I switched some things up in the primary bedroom and plan on finishing that this weekend as well.

Happy Monday! Summer break is just flying by! I took last week off to spend some time with the kids and I’m back, sharing this super cute lamp with you all from @ele_lightdecor I needed a lamp for one of the nightstands in my room and this one is perfect! Yesterday I planned my gallery wall for the entryway while making mini apple tarts. They were delicious and as all always, they didn’t last long around here. Amelia came up with a sweet idea for Father’s Day so she’ll be working on that today and I’m hoping to start on my wall. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

The weekend was hot so I was thankful for the cooler temps and rain that rolled in last night. I enjoyed a very peaceful night, just me and the dogs, reading, drinking tea and catching up on some tv shows. I have a new piece coming to this space soon and I am thinking about creating a gallery wall where the mirror is.

How to decorate your coffee table….
However you damn well please! I absolutely love the inspiration and seeing everyone’s creative side on here! What I don’t love is when someone feels the urge to share their opinion on how something should or shouldn’t be done. What’s in or out of style and that seems to be the trend these days, at least on my feed. I love and appreciate all decor and styles not just styles similar to mine. While I’ve always decorated with neutrals, I used to love greens especially olive green but that has changed over time and I find myself leaning more towards purples. I do believe it is because I see colors differently now due to symptoms of MS. I do hope you love the way I’ve decorated my coffee table for summer and if you don’t, that’s okay too! I do hope you find more joy and appreciation for the different styles, creative ideas and hard work people share here.

It was a great first weekend of summer! Parties, games night, puppy school and decorating kept us busy. I snapped a few photos of our living room in the evening after cleaning up last night and I love the soft glow from the lamps. I found a few things from Target last weekend and did not realize they were part of the Fall collection until everyone started posting about it. These are pieces that can and will be used year round around here. I love the brass tray and the boxes keep the clutter hidden. I also added that beautiful jacquard blanket to my ladder. One small change can make such a difference! I love these sconces from @lohasled They are rechargeable lights so no hardwiring necessary. The remotes make them easy to use and the endless color options are so fun! Amelia has already chosen a color for every upcoming holiday!

It’s the last day of school! I set a simple table for tonight’s dinner. Our table has so many uses especially during the summer. Since our home is small and we don’t have an office or den, this table is also where we do homework, play games and craft. It most likely won’t be set again until after summer. I’m most looking forward to all the games and conversations that will take place in this tiny space of ours.

Happy June, it’s crazy that I’m even saying that! This year has seriously flown by.
It’s our last week of school and I am so looking forward to summer break! We have a trip planned in July and it will be so nice to get out of this desert heat. Heat intolerance is one of the biggest things I struggle with, with my MS.

A welcoming view. Not much has changed in the entryway but I did add those iron candle holders I found on marketplace for a steal a few weeks ago. Since it is clean, I thought I’d snap a few shots.

Today is my oldest daughter, Alexa’s birthday and I can’t wrap my mind around her being 19! It seems like yesterday but also so long ago, that I was in that hospital so happy, filled with so much joy and love but also terrified that I would mess everything up.
The early teen years had their ups and downs but we get along so well now and she tells me how grateful she is that I am her mom and appreciates how much I have done for her.
It fills my heart and calms my fear and questioning if I am a good mom or if I could have done things better. She is in collage now and working full time, determined to become a homicide detective.

Her birthday gift to herself was adopting a puppy so we have a new member in the family. Honey has kept me busy and on my toes the last few days as I agreed that I would help care for her while Alexa is in school and working. I’ll share a photo in stories.

I’ve been finding these vintage pegged votives for candlesticks at my local thrift store recently. I’ve found 12 in the last two or three times I’ve stopped in, some are the same, some different, a few crystal like ones that I love and I knew I wanted to display them on my dining room table.
I needed something to center them on so I stopped by my sweet friend Raquel’s shop @basilcourt this past weekend and found the perfect vintage board to anchor them. Raquel has the cutest shop and so many vintage goodies, every time I stop in, she has exactly what I’m looking for. I think this is definitely one of my favorite centerpieces I have done!

Juicing has been part of my routine since my diagnosis five years ago and the Canoly

It’s finally Friday! The girls went back to school on Wednesday and with it being a short week, I have my days mixed up but it also seems like the longest week ever. We’re back to sports and drs visits and everything else in between. I need a break after these three long days. And this heat is insane for March which is part of why I have been so exhausted. Anything hotter than 80 and my MS symptoms go in overdrive and I’m quite literally a hot mess! We’re off to the dentist and then I’ll be right here, sipping iced coffee in the AC!

It’s spring time but it definitely feels like summer here.
