Day 6 of my 7-Day Solo Cruise, and the goal of the day was to soak up as much of the sun as possible! ☀️

It’s interesting how different each cruise is depending on the destination.

I’ve been on an Alaska cruise where the vibe was very slow and casual on board, with most of my time spent on the balcony with binoculars watching the water for whales and in the spa. And I had an active excursion in every port, such as whale-watching on a boat, snorkeling, a train ride, and a helicopter ride to hike a glacier.

I’ve also been on a European cruise where the ship was just a place to relax, eat dinner, and sleep because I was so exhausted from exploring all the different countries we visited during the day. I did a mix of cruise and private full-day excursions.

Then there are the Caribbean cruises where the ship is the main focus, and I spend time in the pool, enjoying the nightlife, etc, and the port destinations are a bonus.

Personally, my absolute favorite cruise has been the Alaska cruise, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

Night 2 of my 7-Day Solo Cruise on the @norwegiancruiseline Encore

The great thing about NCL is there flexible dining options. There is no set time or restaurant for dinner. You make a reservation or your show up, and that’s it! I personally only dine at the specialty restaurants on NCL because there are so good!

However, I will eat at the Buffett or free dining options for breakfast and lunch, but for dinner I really enjoy a more up leveled experience.

Le bistro (French) and Cagney’s (steakhouse) are my top two restaurants on board.

As far as nightlife goes, NCL is known for their themed parties, fun games, and their hit stage shows. (They used to offer Broadway shows onboard which I do hope they bring back soon). But I was lucky enough to get to experience @choirofman , which is one of my favorite shows on NCL.

If you are sailing on NCL and Choir of Man is onboard, make sure you go see it at least once!

On this night, I got asked on stage and it was such a fun experience! And because of it, for the rest of the cruise I was recognized and approached by others who were at the show and who kindly shares photos and videos with me.

This was my favorite night of the cruise and I love that I get to share it with you!
