How to Clean & Protect Stainless Steel with Dish Soap + Oil 1. Clean the surface: • Dampen a soft cloth with warm water. • Add a small drop of Dawn dish soap to the cloth. • Wipe the stainless steel thoroughly to remove fingerprints, grease, and smudges. 2. Rinse & dry: • Wipe again with a clean damp cloth to remove any soap residue. • Dry completely with a microfiber cloth to prevent water spots. 3. Protect with oil: • Put a few drops of baby oil or olive oil on a clean microfiber cloth (don’t apply directly to the steel). • Gently buff the oil into the surface, following the direction of the grain. 4. Wipe away excess: • Use a dry section of the cloth to remove any extra oil so it’s smooth, not greasy. Result: A shiny, smudge-resistant finish that makes future fingerprints much less noticeable!
