3 things that every woman needs and that are worth investing in, imho:

A good bag.

So expensive sometimes, but if you invest in a good designer bad with a classic design, it will last for years and years, and compliment any outfit.
Also, most of the designer bags keep their resale values. Chanel is known for actually increasing in price, so... on could make money if the bag is in impeccable condition.

Basically, it comes down to this: with a good designer bag you really invest just once, when you buy it. It will either serve you well for 20+ years or you can sell & buy a new one without having to cash a ton of $$$ again.

Accessories.
•
It’s worth the investment. Especially, when comes to sunglasses. The cheap knock-offs can be harmful for eyes. For years I could wear sunglasses. I would get a headache or my eyes would get tired. At one of the appointments for a school check up for my kids the topic came up and the Dr explained in details how damaging cheap sunglasses can be.

A good bra.
•
Actually, several, of you are on a fuller side. It’s amazing how much of a difference a good foundation can make. Also, having several different styles makes creating a beautiful silhouette easy. There is an entire section of science devoted to underpinnings, but, seriously, find a lingerie shop and spend an hour with a consultant figuring out what styles work best for your body. You will be amazed at the difference ( and confidence boost!) it will make!

These are my 3 absolute musts. Even the simplest jeans and a tee outfit can look amazing with right accessories, a good bad and with a good foundation under. Those are my faithful style savers.

A style hack that has been saving my working mom/ playtime mom life lately:
When I buy shoes, I get the same style of shoes in a heel version and in a flat version. If I can’t get the exact same style, I get the one as similar as possible.
Guys, so simple, but it makes a big difference when putting an outfit together for the day and makes it so versatile. Most of the time smart-casual is a great meeting outfit, so I can wear heels to my meetings, look professional and feel good, and then easily swap them for the same/similar looking flats when I am done, strap a baby carrier on and go run all errands and have fun with my kids without sacrificing style.
So, I still feel good.😂
Because, you know, admit it aloud or not, how we feel and look seriously affects the quality of our days. When I look good and feel confident, I am happier. And when happy, everything just flows better. Do you agree?!

И все таки я решилась попробовать чисто белое.
Посмотрим, приживётся ли, потому что теперь мне срочно захотелось перекрасит стены или сделать акцент на одной стене обоями.
А вообще, новое постельное слегка вредит продуктивности, ибо вставать и куда-либо идти вообще нет желания. Хочется , в обнимку с подушкой и книжкой, смотреть в окно на проходящих мимо людей и наслаждаться ароматным чаем. Как раз то, самая, что ни есть, мотивация чистой воды. А все таки, наверное, без абсолютных угрызений совести все таки воспользуюсь фактом, что у нас день мамы в выходные, и именно так и проведу все выходные. Мечты должны сбываться, правильно же?

Her absolute favorite one if all, @lemaraisbakery , of course! Nothing beats their almond milk cappuccino for me.
They are always creating new and delicious treats to try. If you stop by during the first half of the day, they also serve delicious breakfast and lunch!

✨Blue Danube Cafe: (Inner Richmond)

It doesn't look like much in the first glance, but with its cozy atmosphere, delicious food and extended hours, the blue Danube cafe is a nice little spot to get away. It’s always handy to have a place that stays open after 8:00 pm on most days. SF is tough that way!

✨Beacon Coffee & Pantry (North Beach)

Beacon is a quaint little shop right on Columbus Ave in North Beach, where the local Italian influence has kept the traditional espresso brewing alive and well. Stop in for some delicious coffee and pick up some other specialty market goods while you are there.

✨Blue Bottle Coffee (financial district)

There’s a reason this coffee shop always has a line, the coffee is extremely delicious. Most well-known for its pour over coffee and espresso macchiatos, this is one place that you'd want to come back too for sure.

✨Four Barrel Coffee (Mission)

If you are looking for a fun place to disconnect and enjoy the atmosphere, then this is the place to be. It is a hub for local artists and talent that come on a regular basis to perform and it offers a pour over bar, espresso drinks and tasty pastries. No wifi or laptops allowed.

On finding BALANCE: self-control and controlling emotions.
Our patience is always tested by surrounds. We've all been there. We can't control the circumstances, and ,sometimes, even if we can, we shouldn't.
But we can control how we act and what our responses are.
Rewinding many years ago to one of my acting classes and a professor, who said: "it's easy to spot beginning actors. They give themselves out by huffing-puffing, screaming and restlessly running around the stage.
That, however, does NOTHING.
But IF you take all of your emotions and feelings and channel the energy, you can deliver the message in a more powerful way then words will ever be capable of."
That, my friends, is one of the best pieces of advice ( even though it was not an advice but a class) I've ever received.
The key, though, it to learn to control that energy. There are some exercises, physical and emotional/energetic, that help with that.
I'll start with some of the physical ones today that are commonly used in aikido techniques and often practiced in acting classes too 😉
These exercises do not take long at all. The key, though is persistence and commitment.
But I promise that even 3 minutes a day will bring you results overtime. There is more to these exercises than what I will cover right now, but this is a good base to start!💞
✨body relaxation.
Sit or stand; eyes closed, clench your fists as hard as you can, mentally focusing on every muscle in your body. Rapidly release and keep your mind recording every little change that is happening within your body.
Repeat 5-7 times.
✨mind relaxation.
Be in a comfortable position, doesn't matter which one. Close your eyes tightly. Focus just on muscles, no other thoughts. Keep shut for 1-3 seconds and open wide. Try NOT focus on anything once you open your eyes. Keep your mind on muscle work when eyes shut and just release it all when opening eyes. The goal here is to look "nowhere", have an empty gaze.

On the other note, I want to come back to the topic of charity and helping others.
I will honestly say that I was shocked to see many comments and DMs in the notes of "let them work for their socks if they need them!", "helping only breeds laziness!", "maybe if these kids work hard for their underwear they will ensure THEIR kids don't have to", etc.
Do those comments have a ground to them? Absolutely. Many people, adults, unfortunately abuse the system. I've seen it first hand. But not everyone does. Not everyone who needs help even has access to the "system".
Let me tell you a little story. A personal one. A real one. From my life.
In our early years of marriage we were, what others would say, beyond poor. We married young, I gave up a very good professional offer to wait for my husband to finish his degree, and although both of us worked, we had VERY little. We lived in a "mother-in-law" basement apartment and my first Christmas present was a leather bound book that I dreamed about but we couldn't afford : it cost $49. That's to give you an idea of our reality then.
But we were very happy. We knew it wouldn't be forever and it was romantic ( "poor student" life, you know).
In a couple of years things got better(as they should have) we moved to a nice little place with lots of light and extra room and planned for a second child. We helped all we saw who were in similar situations - we didn't ask, just helped. We knew it was appreciated.
And then a preemie was born with all its financial aspects apart from physiological and psychological. We tried very hard to keep things up during the year after. Because we both worked, we made "just a little" too much to qualify for government assistance we desperately needed, but far not enough to keep us afloat.
So, I cried a little because I loved our place so much, and we moved again. To a very, very tiny 1 bd place. Nobody really knew how difficult things were. Our home always looked beautiful no matter the budget or space, so everyone assumed all was great.

🔹Nesting is in full bloom: everything has to be double cleaned and triple washed. It's seriously one of my favorite times - the home sparkles.✨

🔹I had some worrisome contractions that we seemed to have figured out the best way of keeping at bay. Thank you for your good wishes! They work✨✨😘
🔹Elia and Evyianne are SOOOO cute with the "baby belly": Elia hugs the belly non-stop and Evyianne is so protective of it and me - he tries to shield me whenever Elia is climbing or someone touches it. He is so worried that nobody hurts me - I'm just 💞💞💞 here.
🔹I've unpacked the cutest package today with some newborn baby clothes and a huge wave of emotions just poured all over me: I'm going to have a little baby soon - it's magical, magical, magical.

🔹Елечка и Эвианчик такииие очаровательные с моим пузиком: Елечка постоянно гладит и обнимает его, а Эвианчик оооочень переживает и защищает меня и пузик, чтобы никто не навредил или случайно не сделал мне больно. Особенно переживает, чтобы мне не было больно, когда малыш толкается. Я просто 💞💞💞 от этого!

Белое на белом с серо-мятным акцентом 😍. Хотела дождаться, когда родится малыш, чтобы использовать серую сумку ( я всегда новое что-то покупаю к рождению малыша - есть ещё такие?😹), но не удержалась : мята + мягкий серый цвет - моя самая любимая цветовая комбинация. Что-то такое в них ,для меня, есть нежное.

This trip has been very productive, but also inspiring and very encouraging.
Even though we have gone so far in how working women, and especially mothers, are viewed by a society today, it still can be sometimes very discouraging to battle assumptions and perceptions that once kids appear in the picture, a woman becomes "just a mom" and it's the husband who becomes all important all of a sudden, and even if a woman works, she becomes automatically just an "add on" to his glory. I face that every day, and after so many times of hearing the same assumptions over and over it can be very discouraging.
That's how many people just see it.
While for some, I am sure, it is the truth, it is not for all.
First of all, there is nothing "just" about being a mom - let's just get that out of the way 🤗 Simply carrying and supporting a life inside for 9 months and many years after already surpass any "just" characteristics.
Second, it is not always ONLY about husbands/men when comes to work, and work + family.
This trip I had a pleasure of meeting in person and working with some amazing women, who have strong careers and businesses, who have made a positive impact on lives of many, and almost all of them are mothers too or planing to be mothers at some point.

💜On the other note, whenever I post about our day or routine, it always raises questions "how is this possible?! With a huge family like this?!"😊laundry is probably a Q #1.
The thing is, it seems that we, as humans in general, like to stay within our comfort box of what we "know for sure works" and "this is how it's SUPPOSED to be done", and anything different seems often "wrong" or "impossible", even though neither is true.
Ask yourself - is it complicated to set up an outfit a day for each day of the week and a couple extra for emergency? Not at all - right? Add a couple of extra shirts for little ones and your entire week is set: no need to do laundry daily.
Get a few sets of towels, linens and wash cloths - and the problem is solved here too 🤗
I think we like to create problems for ourselves more then they actually exist in reality - often something new seems impossible or improbable, because it is not something we are used to, but it takes one step out of the comfort zone to try it. Sometimes it is something that works for us, sometimes - not, but it's impossible to know without truly stepping forward into the new.😘

We are working on our Eater table menu this year. So far, we thinking this:
Kulich - traditional Paskha bread/ Easter bread
Paskha - traditional sweet cheese Easter dish
Colored eggs - many colors, but red is my favorite, and also I LOVE the "sleeves" you can now buy and have eggs look like #pysanki
Cheese plate - this is always a big must! A variation of soft, blue and hard cheeses, mixed milk. Any recommendations for what we should try?! I'm dying for truffle coat Brie I found in the Spanish store here! Any fun cheeses you suggest?
Fruit plate - all sorts. I love Asian markets for this.
Fish and kebabs - kids are soo excited. We don't usually eat meat every day and it is typically mostly just happens on holidays or special occasions - we are just not big meat eaters, we prefer seafood and plants on daily bases. But it definitely makes holidays be extra fun too!
Canapé of all sorts! I am craving olives ( have you tried really big black ones or night green type? Not the typical green, but a brighter, smaller-rounder variety? DYING for those! ) , so lots of olives will be there too!

My thoughts:
Perfectionism is such a broad term!
I don't really consider myself a perfectionist - there are so many things that could be done better, but I just know that it is not possible to have it ALL 100% perfect nor do I want to, to be completely honest 🤗. I have been raised with very high expectations - that is true, and that definitely had had an effect on what I do and how I do it for sure, but I am also a human and a realist :)
I do like the feeling of accomplishment after hard work, I know what my capabilities are and I do push myself - that is true also.

So, pregnancy and wardrobe... can be fun, can be headache inducing 😉
With the first baby I literally walked into a maternity shop after my first doctor's appointment and couldn't wait until the bump made official appearance to try a bunch of stuff, but quickly realized there isn't much fun in oversized clothes. Nothing just fit good enough and by the time it actually would fit as designed, there would be mere few weeks left to carry the baby, and spending money of something that cannot be continuously used was not really fun.
With time, I've figured out a few hacks and there are a few things that has been working for me last ...too many years 😹
🍄tops - last few years market spiked with multifunction pregnancy-friendly nursing tops: those are the best! I talk so much about @boobdesign tops that it probably looks I'm well-sponsored for it, but I am absolutely not ☺️: I am sincerely very impressed with the company and among a bunch of similar items I've tried, theirs just fit, look and wear the best. So well-worth the investment. All fitted tops I have are from Boob - they make fantastic layers or stand-along pieces, depending on the style you get.
Second, long loose fitting tops - these I try to get from non-maternity options, and try to find the style that would fit well in my pre-pregnancy size. Everybody is different, but i found that generally going up a size makes it for a wasted top after I have a baby. I only have a couple of "up-sized" items for the very end of the pregnancy, but generally I try to stick to my usual size and just look for "forgiving" flattering styles.👇🏻
