I put six pairs of linen and linen blend pants to the wash and wear test. Here is what I found!

I washed the pants on cold, hung them to try for the majority of the drying time and finished drying on delicate, low heat. Every single one shrank to some degree.

The linen options wrinkled along the seams once I put them in the dryer. You’ll get the best result skipping the dryer with linen pants.

The linen blend things wrinkled the least, but shrank the most.

Madewell: xs short - sized up (28”, shrank to 27”) 100% linen
Athleta: xxs petite - tts (28”, shrank to 27”) 100% linen
Quince: xs 28” - tts (28”, shrank to 27”) 100% linen
Abercrombie: xxs short - borderline size up (28”, shrank to 27”) 55% linen 45% viscose - inseam increases gradually as sizes go up
Target: xs short - tts (28”, shrank to 26”) 55% linen 45% rayon

Wardrobe basics I buy over and over again!

Camisole (Kohl’s): small - built in shelf bra, adjustable straps. I size up in it.

White t-shirt (Quince): xs - light stretch, perfect as a base layer or on its own.

Socks (Amazon): fit my size 5 feet perfectly!

Bra (EBY): xs - washes beautifully, doesn’t lose the cups and is so comfortable I can wear it to sleep!

I found another pair of crepe pants you can wear casually and to work!

Very similar to Aritzia’s Lodge Pants. An inch shorter (27” inseam) and the fabric is a little thicker the the lodge pants. They run a little large. I recommend a size down if in between sizes.

I put my favorite jeans from Quince to a wash and wear test, here is what I found.

I originally noted their jeans to shrink in the wash over time, most of mine shrinking an inch. However, I wasn't washing them properly. For this test I washed them in cold water and tumble dried on low (According to the care tag). There was minimal shrinkage (under 1/2" with all three styles) and no notable shrinkage in overall fit or rise.

They wear well, slight loosening but they don't lose shape or bag out.

The Bella jeans are stated as having a 10.5” rise but I measured a 10” rise for most styles in a size 24.

Bella Wide: 24 x 28" in Midnight Blue (shrank 1/4")

Bella Relaxed Straight: 24 x 28" in Atlantic Blue (shrank 1/2")

Bella Relaxed Straight: 24 x 26" in Stormy Blue(shrank 1/2")

Tank Top (J.Crew Factory): XXS in both colors

Flats (J.Crew Factory): True to Size

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My ankle inseam is 25".
