The whole thing feels super realistic: full-body tracking, cinematic visuals, and a storyline that literally throws you from Hawkins Lab and the Rainbow Room to Mirkwood and straight into the Upside Down. You get a catalyst wand with telekinetic powers (yes, like Eleven) and you use it to hurl objects, crush obstacles, and fend off Demobats, Demodogs, and even the Demogorgon. You choose your roles, fight creatures together, and work as a team to survive each challenge. Groups up to 6 can play— perfect for friend groups, date nights, or something chaotic to do in Philly. So glad to do this with fellow Philly for @elaine_ficarra!! And the prep is honestly the funniest part: they strap sensors to your wrists, ankles, and chest, and you get to watch each other move around like confused Sims before the VR even starts. Then once the headset goes on… it’s over for you. You’re in Hawkins for real. Terrifying. Hysterical. Adrenaline-packed. And Pancake? She didn’t care about the screaming!
