Comment “SNEAKERS” for the links 🤍 This pair from Abercrombie is currently on sale for $50 (not $80!) and I’m tagging a similar Amazon pair too (slightly different, but similar to the chunkier Miu Miu style).

I’ve been seeing these Miu Miu sneakers everywhere — Pinterest, street style, every cool girl in Europe — and I finally had to pause and ask myself… am I really about to spend £760 (aka $960 USD) on shoes inspired by men’s track sneakers from the 1970s?

In my Professional Wife Era? Absolutely not.

So I found an $80 version with the same slim silhouette, suede feel, and gum sole, and then did what really matters: I swapped the laces to get that perfectly undone, designer-coded look. Because details matter — but financial literacy matters more.

I styled them two ways: dressed up and Pinterest-inspired for when I want to look like I brunch in Paris, and toned down with jeans for real life errands, coffee runs, and pretending I’m not checking my bank app.

My Professional Wife Era is about making smart fashion decisions… and still looking expensive while doing it.

These viral Mary Jane Sambas were impossible to get at the end of summer, but I’m calling it now, they’re about to come back strong for spring. So in true Professional Wife Era fashion, I tested the designer pair and the Amazon look for less so we can make smart purchases and avoid the “Zach, don’t look at the credit card” conversation.

I grabbed my true size 7.5 in the Adidas pair and they fit perfectly. For the Amazon version, I ordered a 7.5 too — but trust me, size up a full size. I should have gone with an 8.5 for the best fit.

You choose your roles, fight creatures together, and work as a team to survive each challenge. Groups up to 6 can play— perfect for friend groups, date nights, or something chaotic to do in Philly. So glad to do this with fellow Philly for @elaine_ficarra!!

And the prep is honestly the funniest part: they strap sensors to your wrists, ankles, and chest, and you get to watch each other move around like confused Sims before the VR even starts. Then once the headset goes on… it’s over for you. You’re in Hawkins for real.

Terrifying. Hysterical. Adrenaline-packed. And Pancake? She didn’t care about the screaming! She literally took a nap while we battled the upside down.
