Learning lately has looked different every day. Some days are filled with mostly free play, some involve a bit of structured learning like number and letter matching. Every day I’m thankful for the opportunity to be the one to teach my kiddos, and I’ll cherish it for as long as we’re able to do it. Never did I think I’d be a homeschool mom. It wasn’t an overnight decision, but a subtle shift in beliefs. A slow awakening to the way I want to live our lives. To be together more, to be the biggest influence in their little lives, to protect PLAY and time in nature. To let my boys be boys as long as I can. Homeschool will evolve for us. There will be a day when we’re using our chalkboards and books more, maybe following curriculum and measuring success in different ways. But today it looks like this: a little different every day, led by play, and together as a family as much as possible 🫶🏻
