Stop doing these things to your hair... 1. Overusing Heat Styling Tools Frequent use of flat irons, curling wands, and blow dryers without proper heat protection strips the hair’s natural moisture and weakens the cuticle — leading to breakage, dryness, and dullness. (I always use a heat protectant when using curling irons and I use a non-heat hair dryer) 2. Washing Too Often (or Not Enough) Over-washing removes essential natural oils that protect and hydrate your hair, while under-washing can cause buildup, irritation, and clogged follicles — both can disrupt scalp health and growth. (I wash my hair 1-2 times per week and it has done wonders on my hair health) 3. Tight Hairstyles & Rough Brushing Constantly wearing tight ponytails, buns, or braids puts tension on the scalp and hairline, leading to thinning and breakage. Similarly, brushing wet hair too aggressively can cause split ends and shedding. (I only wear my hair up for a few hours a day when I'm working out/showering/washing my face at night and I never put it up when it's wet) 4. Ignoring Scalp Care The scalp is skin — and when it’s neglected, it affects hair growth and strength. Product buildup, dryness, or inflammation can all block follicles and stunt healthy growth. (I have a scalp massager and scalp products I use consistantly) 5. Using Harsh Chemicals & Wrong Products Overusing bleach, color treatments, or sulfate-heavy shampoos strips protein and moisture from the hair shaft. Using the wrong products for your hair type (like heavy oils on fine hair) can also cause imbalance and breakage. (I use a single process on my roots ONLY which does NOT contain any bleach. I only get highlights to my hair once a year if needed) haircareroutine healthyhair haircareproducts
