Happy Sunday! I know a lot of people struggle with how to decorate book shelves and so I wanted to do a little mini post on some basic tips. 1. Make it symmetrical and make sure each shelf has a balanced amount of items. The items don’t have to match exactly but should be similar in size. 2. Pick a couple colors/tones and work within those; too many colors, wood tones, or metals can be distracting or just look busy. 3. Plants (especially fake ones that don’t need to be watered!) add a soft finish. With mine I picked mostly white and gray items, light wood tones and gold accents.
