For an office that doubles as a sitting room, we stacked function with comfort. A small coffee table that would eventually store games for game day, a chic (and affordable) couch in a performance fabric to withstand pets, a textured rug and pillows to bring the whole space together.

Not pictured: coordinating corner shelves for books, trinkets, and additional storage.

In this Chicago condo, we didn't let the small space stop us from big design moments. A canopy bed is always the start of something special and this is one we recommend time and time again. Layered with plush bedding in another favorite style and a reversible rug that ties the whole bedroom together.

#LTKdayinmylife #LTKHome

As we built out our design studio, we wanted as much attention on the entrance as the rest of the space.

The bench is a great (and affordable) Target find, with a rug and light fixture that add additional character and texture.

A designer favorite worth bookmarking. 🤎

We love a rug that can completely change the feeling of a room—and this reversible Persian rug from West Elm does just that.

A statement-making layer in the bedroom. A sleek runner in the kitchen. Vintage-inspired pattern without feeling overly traditional.

It’s low-pile, durable, reversible, and designed to mimic the intricate look of an heirloom rug without the heirloom price tag.

Bonus rooms don't have to be forgotten rooms. In this design project, we gave this space just as much character as the rest of their city condo. Rich, warm textures, and so much character. Sharing a few of the exact pieces and alternatives that give the same vibe.

Lake living, coastal flare, and inspired by nature, a few of the elements that brought one of our latest designs to life.

Bookcase meets Bar Cart:

In this Chicago condo, space was of the essence. We needed each piece to serve a purpose and make the most of the space. Tying in some style elements that brought our client's personality to the forefront, we love how this came together.

When it came to furnish our interior design studio, we had a few pieces in mind.

First, a Salted Hue sourced love seat from one of our go-to trade vendors.

Next, all the elements that bring the space to life.

Dorm Room Essentials. Small space problems solved. We're covering everything you need for college sendoff.

- Space saving bookshelves
- Washable rug
- Bulletin board that doubles as jewelry storage

& a few other pieces to make your space feel a little more like home.

#LTKHome #LTKSaleAlert

Move-in season is here, and a few thoughtful pieces can make even the smallest dorm room feel functional, organized, and inviting. ✨

My dorm room essentials checklist:

📚 Space-Saving Bookshelves
Vertical storage is your best friend in a dorm. A slim bookshelf keeps textbooks, décor, and everyday essentials organized without taking up valuable floor space.

🪑 A Cozy Study Chair
If there's room, swap the standard desk chair for something a little more comfortable. A supportive accent chair creates a cozy study corner you'll actually want to use.

💡 A Lamp + Wireless Charging Dock
Dorm rooms never seem to have enough outlets. A bedside lamp that doubles as a wireless charging station saves space and keeps devices powered up.

🖼️ Artwork for Instant Personality
Those concrete walls can feel a little cold. Framed prints, canvas art, or removable wall décor instantly warm up the space and make it feel more like home.

🛏️ A Bed Caddy for Organization
One of my favorite small-space hacks! A bed caddy keeps your phone, charger, water bottle, glasses, and late-night essentials within reach while freeing up precious nightstand space.

These simple additions make a dorm room feel less temporary and much more intentional. Shop all my favorite finds linked here!

A basement bathroom renovation that feels like a main character moment. One of our favorite styles of washable rugs from Ruggable, a gorgeous wood arched mirror to add warmth and contrast to a crisp white vanity, and the budget friendly floating shelves we find ourselves reaching for time and time again.

#LTKHome #LTKSaleAlert

These accent chairs with hidden ottoman were quite the find. Perfect for an office or any room short on space without sacrificing comfort. Paired with a rug, a small table + artwork and we created a seating area with interest.

#LTKHome #LTKSaleAlert

Memorial Day is notorious for offering some of the best sales for furniture so we sourced a few of our most recent project favorites that are on pretty major markdown.

If you're looking to replace any rugs, Ruggable is offering 15% sitewide. This pattern has been a tried and true in several projects and it's a easy favorite for just about any room.

A faux tree that's great quality on on major sale, plus a side chair with built in ottoman great for small spaces, and a few other styling pieces to complete a cozy corner.

Primary bedroom makeover - This Pottery Barn furniture was the star of the show, but layers of neutral texture give the otherwise neutral bedroom so much character. Wood balanced with black metal, mirrors behind the glass table lamps to bounce light, a bench for practicality, and altogether, so much style.

Memorial Day Weekend sales are in full swing which offers a great opportunity to get your porch or patio ready for the season. We can't get enough of these plush outdoor chairs and can just envision a shared morning coffee moment or unwinding here after a long day. Put a side table in between and a citronella candle to keep the pests away for the perfect pairing.

Sharing a few of our outdoor rug picks to complete the space and an outdoor planter we've had in our own backyard and absolutely love.

A gorgeous McGee & Co. rug on sale.

We recently used this handwoven rug in a Design + Build project and though subtle in both color and pattern, it made such a style statement in the space.

#LTKHome #LTKSaleAlert

As an interior designer, our team doesn't have just one favorite, but there are pieces that we always know are going to make a statement.

This West Elm reversible rug was that show stopping moment in what was an otherwise very neutral kitchen. Layering in the pattern and texture of the rug, mixing natural elements in their bar stools, and gorgeous metal fixtures, and you've got a kitchen full of charm and character.

Rugs we’re loving lately 🤍

Think: neutral + moody tones, rich texture, and just the right amount of statement. From elevated everyday (yes, some are washable ) to true investment pieces, these are the layers that ground a space and make it feel finished.

All designer-approved. Be sure to follow @saltedhueinteriors on social media for real room photos from every project.

In our interior design business, we peruse a lot of furniture. Every website, every manufacturer, and every budget, continually making a catalog of great pieces we can suggest to our clients along the way.

So when pieces we love end up on sale, they're worth sharing so you, too, can snag a deal. Accent chairs for any space and all on major sale.

We source a lot of coffee tables in our design projects and we're always on the lookout for standout styles.

This round style checks a lot of boxes - the mix of concrete and wood create balance and visual appeal. The geometric pattern of the base adds even more character and interest.

Sharing a few additional elements that went into this room to complete the space.

This kitchen was quite the transformation and the furniture selected deserves all the credit.

Timeless pieces that add both elegance and functionality to a well used space.

Kitchen chairs + coordinating bar stools for a cohesive look.

Lighting that makes a statement, but doesn't take away from their incredible water view.

Moody, grounded, and effortlessly elevated 🤍

This Living Room design board is centered around Thunderous by Sherwin-Williams — a gorgeous deep neutral green with soft gray undertones that adds richness without overpowering the space.

Starting with a couch sourced from Salted Hue, this board is part of our detailed 2D visualization process — featuring the actual pieces we present to clients for final selection. Measurements ✔️ Spatial planning ✔️ Client inspiration ✔️ From there, we carefully qualify furnishings that align with both the footprint and the feeling of the room.

For this space, we blended mid-range staples with budget-friendly finds — investing where quality truly counts while keeping the overall design beautifully within budget. The result? A living room that feels simple, classic, and refined… layered with intention and designed to live well every day.

We don't like to play favorites in any of our interior design projects, but we'd be lying if we said this display cabinet wasn't up there.

A statement piece in itself, but also a practical way to store dishes, serveware, cookbooks, and in this case, family mementos. Situated between their eat-in area and kitchen for easy accessibility for hosting and glass doors that fully close to avoid unnecessary dusting.

Truly a showstopper.

#LTKHome #LTKSaleAlert

Sherwin Williams Grays Harbor served as the perfect base for this sitting room, while creamy neutral furniture with metallic details add a touch of elegance. Simple combos and accessories that make a space look truly special. #LTKStyleTip

Greenery is the quiet layer that makes a space feel finished 🌿 It softens hard edges, adds movement, and brings life into a room—without changing a single piece of furniture.

And if you don’t have a green thumb (same 🙋‍♀️), faux can be just as impactful when done right. We’ve tried hundreds of stems in every variety and at every price point to find the ones that actually look real. These are our tried-and-true favorites—the perfect way to add that fresh, collected feel year-round.

Whether your space is better suited for a rectangle dining table or round, the chairs have the power to transform the entire space.

This dining chair set from Kathy Kuo home pairs comfort with character. The mix of wood and leather, plus upholstery with classic design has made them a project favorite time and time again.

So when they're on sale, they're worth the share.

Guest Bedroom Design: We came into a space with existing furniture and our job was to give it a cohesive look that would be both functional and comfortable for guests. Layered bedding in different colors and textures add a ton of visual interest to an otherwise simple bed frame. Dark lamps and a rug that (truly) ties the room together.

Bathrooms may be small, but they never have to be an afterthought.

When it comes to design, bathrooms are often overlooked because of their size, but here’s the thing: they pack a punch.

This was a new construction home, which meant a clean slate (plus some beautifully chosen fixtures to build on). We added an arched mirror with wood trim and floating shelves to bring warmth into the space, paired with a classic linen shower curtain and a washable rug in one of our most-loved, most-used styles. Finished with simple artwork and practical decor, this guest bath quickly became one of our favorite spaces in the house and we think their guests are going to love it just as much.

Revisiting past projects with pieces that have stood the test of time. This living room came together several years back, but there are pieces our design business would still choose in current spaces which speaks volumes to their practicality. These chairs, pillow combos, and coffee table are perfect for just about any space.
