Spring Garden Prep Series 🌿 Episode Three Prepping the space where it all comes to life 🤍 This past weekend was all about getting the yard ready for spring, clearing out the old to make room for everything that’s about to grow. Since Michigan weather is unpredictable and we knew it was going to rain most of this week we prepared a day to get it all done. What I did: – cleaning up leftover leaves + winter debris – trimming back anything that didn’t survive the season – raking + refreshing the garden areas – starting to visualize where everything will go – preparing the yard for the mulch delivery This step might feel like a lot, but it makes such a difference. A clean, reset space not only helps your plants thrive, but it makes the whole season feel more calm and manageable. If you’re starting this too: • Don’t rush it, do a little each day if you need to & weather allows • Remove anything dead or diseased to give new growth a fresh start • Take note of sunlight in your yard now (it helps so much with plant placement later) • Plan to add an extra layer of mulch to areas that may have lost some from removing the leaves There’s something so satisfying about seeing everything come back to life again 🌿 Next up: Making a kitchen herb garden, Then refreshing the garden boxes with dirt & mulch 🤍 gardenseason springcleanup gardenprep yardwork THDSpringIntoHosting gardenresfresh slowliving cozyhome homemaking gardeninspiration @homedepot
