I'm a “basics” girl. Neutral palette, clean pieces, nothing too loud.

But I’ve learned over the years that one strategic piece can step things up considerably.

Left: denim on denim, brown belt, brown flats. A perfectly fine outfit.

Right: same exact outfit. One brown and light blue checked trench on top.

Still feels like me, still looks intentional. Just a little “extra” – and,
TBH, there was no way I was leaving that coat behind.

I'm almost always an untucked top person - it's just easier and feels more like me.

But sometimes an outfit really benefits from a cleaner, more defined waist.

The problem is that longer or bulkier tops don't always tuck well - especially with slimmer, pleated, or more structured bottoms.

This little stretch belt creates the look of a tuck without the bulk, so you
get that clean line while keeping everything comfortable.

#ComfortableGirlWinter - the denim shirt upgrade

The oversized denim button-up is a classic - but many of us have been
styling it the same way for years.

Fully buttoned.
Over leggings.
Flats.
A quick sleeve roll.

It works... but it's a bit "2010s". A few small shifts make it feel more up to date and effortlessly stylish: swap the leggings for loose jeans, add flip flops for an unexpected shoe, button just the middle few buttons, and do a more intentional sleeve roll (fold the sleeve up toward the elbow first, then turn the fold up twice).

Completely different energy.

Lightweight barrel pants don't have to disappear when the temperature drops.

Well I was INFLUENCED! If there was one trend I’ve been successfully avoiding it is loafers. No thank you. And then a young, stylish guest was at my house recently and I all but pounced on these shoes!
