It works... but it's a bit "2010s". A few small shifts make it feel more up to date and effortlessly stylish: swap the leggings for loose jeans, add flip flops for an unexpected shoe, button just the middle few buttons, and do a more intentional sleeve roll (fold the sleeve up toward the elbow first, then turn the fold up twice).

It all kicked off with a small dinner for both families and I wanted to step it up a bit but keep things in tune with the setting (Brooklyn cool, natch).
