I tried to savor every moment in NYC and decided to take a break from posting on social media. The truth is I was happy to be back. Too happy. I've expressed previously that LA has nice weather, but for me that's where the allure seems to end. It still doesn't feel like home to me. I still haven't found the zenned out humans I was hoping to locate and befriend. I still believe the negative perceptions/stereotypes others have of people in LA are mostly true. But that's ok. I have a home that I adore, get to spend days with my bestie 🐶, have a bf who is starting to master well done eggs, and I have one of my favorite gfs on the planet here. I think I found it particularly funny bc my silly self would definitely do something like this 🤣But seriously, every day something is likely to NOT go according to plan. We can spend time being angry over this or we can simply accept that it happened, regroup, and move forward.

Living in a big city is amazing, there is so much to see and do! Ironically, I find the best thing I’ve ‘done' for myself since moving here is really getting into my mindfulness meditation practice. It can seem overwhelming (and even odd) at first, but I promise you it is so so worth it. I go to a meditation class on Monday/Friday, and it’s one of my fav parts of the week! Finding a quiet place outdoors in the city isn’t exactly the easiest task, but if you get up early enough you can have an entire park to yourself ;)
