Creating a transitional home for women with children in Minden, Louisiana was never on my bingo card.

But sometimes life presents opportunities, a door opens, and you just have to walk through it.

This home was once taken over by vandals, drug invested and an eye sore on a blighted street in Minden.

And after my dad unexpectedly passed away, I knew I had to do something to honor the legacy and carry the work that he began during his time on earth.

And Phillip’s Cottage was born. I created a nonprofit and the Internet showed up for for us in a big way.

Just want to give massive props to @TWOPAGES who donated all of the window treatments for our home. They believed in our vision and our mission and helped us cover a massive expense that allowed us to shift funds other places to benefit our families.
