My feed needed some color so what better way to brighten things up than to share a cake 🎂 This was my first attempt at #italianmeringuebuttercream using my new @kitchenaidusa stand mixer and overall I’d give myself a C- because I couldn’t get the texture right. This style of buttercream is so different than #americanbuttercream! Luckily I salvaged this batch enough create a cute birthday cake for my daughter. I’d call it a #nakedcake but a bit more “rustic” 🥳. Her birthday was yesterday. Her college roommates will threw her a big dorm party last night and when I delivered my cake was impressed with how they decorated to celebrate her day. Everything was adorable. 🎊 Today we celebrate with my granddaughter who turned 1 yesterday. I can’t wait for her first cake smash. “Hey, Alexa. Vacuum the house”. We LOVE our new pet, except this one cleans up messes. What should we name it? Watch until the end, it self-docks and empties all by itself. This is a much deeper clean than I ever expected. It’s fluffing our 15 year old carpet much better than our current push-vac!
