🎃👻💀 Happy Halloween, everyone! I can’t believe it’s here already, and on a Friday, no less! I’m extra excited that our arches will stay up through the entire weekend to celebrate Día de los Muertos as well. Right now, I’m in full prep mode, cleaning, cooking, and getting everything ready for tonight’s festivities. It’s going to be a full, fun, weekend. For those who may not be familiar, Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a beautiful Mexican tradition that honors loved ones who have passed. It’s celebrated on November 1st and 2nd, coinciding with All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day. Families build ofrendas adorned with marigolds, candles, photos, and favorite foods of the departed to welcome their spirits home. It’s not about sadness, it’s about remembering with joy and celebrating the lives that shaped us. 🌼💀✨ happyhalloween diadelosmuertos

This hanging wisteria in my daughter’s room is one of my favorite DIY projects. It turned out so sweet and wasn’t that hard to make. Just a sidenote, make sure you grab a feather duster to dust it about once a week.

Home again, home again, jiggety jig. Slowly blending back into daily life after the trip of a lifetime. Thanks for indulging all my Japan content... it’s been such a joy to create, and honestly, a welcome distraction from the fact that both my kids started high school this week. 😭 Yep… we now have a senior and a freshman in the house, and I’m feeling ALL the feels.

Speaking of Japan… had to show off my new Onitsuka Tigers I scored in Tokyo. I LOVE them and seriously wish I bought more (don’t even get me started on how much we brought home, let’s just say two extra duffle bags were involved ).

Happy Summer! I feel like I wait all year long to come alive these next few months. I love wearing my whites, my linens, and now my new favorite - crinkle gauze! I love this crinkly gauze material because it gives you the look and breathability of linen, but doesn’t wrinkle like linen does. I wore this outfit on the plane and I looked just as refreshed after a six hour flight as I did before I left.
