Sad to say, this DeMellier bag and the Chanel 25 didn’t get packed. They are too structured and bulky to pack and I wasn’t going to carry them as my personal item on the plane. The items that were wardrobe winners that aren’t shown in the video are my fave black trousers (I wear sz 6) and the unlined raincoat I bought.

We grew up on black and navy aren’t compatible- so not true. This is a modern color combo that looks very chic and it helps expand your wardrobe possibilities and pairings. It’s not bad to match your bag and shoes but it’s certainly not necessary. As a matter of fact, NOT matching them looks fresh and interesting. And finally, nothing cheapens a look more than wearing a size that is too small. Let go of the smaller is better brainwashing. When in doubt, buy the bigger size.

I traveled to London and I used my experiences from all of my time in Paris to help me pack.

I did not pack a puffer because it is bulky and frankly even though it’s in style, it’s not the style I wanted on all of my pictures. I packed a wool trench (in ivory but you can opt for a more practical color- try bordeaux or olive green if you don’t want another black coat) and a faux fur. Pretty, chic and photograph well. The ivory trench is oversized so I could layer beneath it and be warm.

Loafers are flat and seem like good walking shoes until you walk 10 miles in them. I opted for waterproof low heeled boots and fashion sneakers with comfy socks.

Jeans are definitely stylish BUT if they get wet when touring about in the rain they are impossible to get dry again! They also feel stiff and can hold the cold temperature against your skin making them feel worse. I prefer black trousers and they also allow the option of layering tights or a silk thermal underneath.
