A cozy styled shelf is lovely this time of year. Sweet bird book ends flank some of my favourite books. This marble heart garland was a gift from my daughter and I love it. The cordless rechargeable lamp warms and brightens the area. My all time favourite gold mirror is the perfect backdrop. The candle wick kit is so handy and I use it all the time. Gone are the days of blowing wax everywhere when I put out the candles!

An airy and bright basement is a wonderful place to spend time in and relax. When we finished off this area I wanted a coastal, Hampton’s style elegant yet casual vibe and we achieved with a light blue, white and tan color scheme. Paired together with library lighting over tall display shelves and an electric fireplace to bring warmth and coziness. It all came together and it is a fabulous area to hang out in.

After years of experimenting with this room, I think I finally got it right. It is the perfect blend of cozy, warmth, peace and sparkle.

The key factor is the 15 foot Balsam Hill narrow fir tree, roaring 20's glamorous ornaments and cherished treasures I have collected or made thru the years.

Some of my treasures are the old sleigh, gold bells and reindeer painting I did a few years ago.
