Summer might be my favourite season to live in, but autumn is by far the best to dress for.

After spending our days in breezy shorts and dresses we get to start adding layers again.

This is the time to really play around with our wardrobes and find new fresh ways to wear what we already own.

As you can see I lean heavily into my caramels, browns, beiges and warm creams. Cosy shades to mirror the changing colour of the nature outside.

Not for everyone, but very much for me. I love a pair of leather leggings or trousers. The texture the leather brings to a look. The warmth and structure.

I will wear them from September all the way through to late spring next year.

Some pieces are the backbone of a season, and these 3 will last you right from the end of summer until it gets properly chilly.

Choosing clothing that we can wear for as big part of the year as possible is key for a properly put together capsule wardrobe. They have to be versatile enough to style for different weather and be made in a quality that can handle a lot of wears.

Your holiday wardrobe don’t need to mirror the rest of your capsule. I’m personally a lot more colourful on holiday than in everyday life and blue and white is a go-to for me.

So I have a small holiday capsule wardrobe that I come back to year after year.

What a night! The best in a very long time.

@henleyfestival is no ordinary festival (as you might have guessed by the black tie dress code). It’s an absolutely brilliant time and especially if you happen to be invited by @audiuk to their tent where @chefrohitghai was in charge of the food.

Champagne, Michelin-starred meal and so much incredible music! I don’t think I have ever done a singalong like this one ever before. Only all of our English favourites by @alexjameshq 🙌🏻

If there is one weekend not to miss in the English summer social calendar, it’s this one.

The 3 most serious wardrobe mistakes we make.

To prevent number 3, use this quick little exercise -

1. Draw two large circles on a piece of paper. One is for your life and the other is for your wardrobe.

2. In your life circle, divide it in portions (pieces of cake if you will) equivalent to the different parts of your life. Work/family life/ hobbies/ events etc.
Make the size of the piece appropriate to how big part of your life you spend in that role.

3. Do the same in your wardrobe circle, use them same categories, but estimate how big each part is taking up in your wardrobe right now.

4. Compare the circles. Is the piece of the category in your life circle matching the size of that part of your wardrobe circle?

It’s quite common to realise for example that we have a small party slice in our life circle, but a larger slice of party wear in our wardrobe circle.

This exercise will show us exactly where we are over spending and over allocating in our wardrobes compared to our actual lives.

The ideal wardrobe matches each portion of our lives perfectly.

I have a secret dream of a big house on the countryside with many acres. Gardens, a greenhouse, maybe even a tennis court.

I have never been one for fancy jets, sports cars, Birkin bags or yachts. All I want is a space that is mine where I can just exist in peace and stillness. Garden, cook, read, listen to the kids’ laughter echoing over the fields.

1. The one that completely disappears under clothes. It leaves no lumps, lines or the dreaded double boob. It works as the canvas for your outfit and you put it on and forget it’s even there.

2. Your “at home” bra. Most of us want to whip our bra right off when we get home, but still need something comfy for support.

3. The pretty bra - Is not for wearing under clothes unless it’s deliberately peeking out. These bras do nothing for an outfit, but look good on their own.

4. The strapless bra. Not our favourite but we all need one.

Come with me to Ladies’ Day at Ascot 🐎

Ascot Thursday is one of the absolute highlights of my years. Ladies’ Day is a day of fashion, food, friends and of course - horses.

We were in the Veranda Restaurant in the Royal Enclosure, so the dress code is as strict as they come. But nothing a @needleandthreadlondon dress and a hat from @viviensheriff can’t handle.

I was a little worried as my dress was quite a lot, and my hat wasn’t subtle either, that it easily could have been a bit much.

So trying them both together the night before the event was a fingers crossed kind of moment.

I always say that one of the reasons I moved to the UK from Sweden was because of the hats.

Needle and Thread hosted a lovely sit-down lunch before the races started. It’s the perfect mix of air conditioning (it was a scorcher!) and the perfect view of the finish line.

It was an absolute delight of a day and I walked away a few ponds up.

This is what I mean when I say anyone can have an amazing wardrobe.

This dress turned out so much better than what I imagined. It’s perfect for some of the events I have coming up this summer and is a great timeless addition to my wardrobe that will be used a lot.

The rest of my budget I will be able to roll over to a more expensive item another month.
