5 items I’m wearing on repeat in January

I always do my best to choose pieces I can wear for as much of the year as possible, but these are the ones I’m reaching for most this month.
	1.	This structured top by @fabrique.official. The epitome of an elevated basic - both comfortable and elegant.
	2.	A gold bangle by @mam that is the perfect understated statement. I love wearing it over jumper, shirt, and dress sleeves, and even on top of gloves.
	3.	My bag by @demellierlondon. The perfect small “big” bag. It fits a lot without looking bulky or overpowering.
	4.	Of course, my new @hermes riding boots (will I ever take them off?). The most comfortable way to look chic.
	5.	This 100% wool coat by @selfwhoofficial. The shape and details of this coat are perfection. It also proves you don’t need plastic to make a great coat.

3 things you should be doing right now to upgrade your style in 2026 💪🏻

January is the best time to start your wardrobe journey, And these are 3 things you should be doing right now to get on track to the year of your best style yet!

1. To start, we need to know what the end goal looks like. So you are going to moodboard your ultimate 2026 style. Don’t worry about budget, just try to match your lifestyle.

2. Now we need to clean the slate. With the risk of sounding a bit woo woo - At the end of the year if the snake comes the shedding. We need to get rid of the old that doesn’t align or fit to be a belt to grow into our new selves. And this happens through a wardrobe clear out. Get rid of anything you don’t love or that doesn’t fit your body or your lifestyle anymore.

3. Now we plan. After the clear out you should have a pretty good idea of what’s in your wardrobe. Now you need to bridge the gap between what you already own and your ultimate 2026 style. What could you add that will take your style closer to your moodboard?

Bonus points if you choose 12 items and start the #oneitemamonth challenge!

This will set you up incredibly well for the rest of the year and take you 3 steps closer to your dream wardrobe.

How fast fashion is keeping you poor.

This is one of the most important videos I have made.

It’s crucial to understand what fast fashion is and how it plays on our insecurities. Chasing trends and fearing being left behind is exactly what keeps us riding the carousel.

It’s supposed to be the cheaper option, but in reality it’s a false economy and ends up filling the pockets of the owners (and landfills). You might pay less per piece, but you end up buying far more items in the long run.

You can find quality pieces for the same price as the cheapest fast-fashion items when you shop pre-loved. So however you look at it, there is no financial upside.

Not to mention what it does to the environment.

If there is one thing that does not belong in 2026, it’s fast fashion.

A week of elegant looks for 2026.

This is the year you find your personal style, when you wear only things you truly love and you feel incredible in every outfit you step out in.

May you stop dressing for noise and start dressing for yourself.
May your wardrobe become calm, considered, and unmistakably yours.
May every piece you own earn its place and serve your life beautifully.

May you trust your eye, your taste, your timing.
May you no longer chase trends, but choose what lasts.
May getting dressed become a quiet ritual of respect for who you are and where you are going.

This is the year of clarity.
The year of intention.
The year you look in the mirror and recognise yourself.

It shall be.

Come with us – it’s @warrenmeliaxs’s birthday.

We both love shared experiences, so every year the other person plans a full day. This time, it was my turn.

I’ve been saving one of my favourite restaurants, @scottsmayfair, for Warren’s birthday because I know he loves seafood as much as I do. He had the prawns and loved them so much that I think it’s officially his favourite restaurant in London now.

After dinner, we went to see @mjthemusicaluk. We both love musicals and have been talking about this one for ages.

It was so cleverly done, and the fact that they found not one but three performers who all danced and sounded so much like Michael Jackson is honestly incredible.

If you’re in London, I highly recommend going to see it.

My weirdest fashion hack -

I’m so curious to know about all the strange fashion hacks people don’t share as they seem a little too weird.

My one involves blister plasters. It’s something I have been doing for years and you will find these plasters in the majority of my shoes!

But now I really would like to know if you have any weird styling hacks to share?

My first #OneItemAMonth purchase for 2026, and it’s a special one.

A pair of riding boots by Hermès (no, they’re not for actual riding, that’s just the name).

This piece has been on my wish list for ages, and I’ve been keeping an eye on the pre-loved market without much luck. As with many Hermès items, they sometimes even sell for more than they do in store.

Then, all of a sudden, these appeared, and within the budget I had mentally allocated for something truly special. I always keep a tally of money I haven’t spent in previous months, so it’s there when an opportunity like this comes up.

I’m over the moon with this purchase. The leather quality is exceptional, and the style is elegant and timeless.

A proper dream item.

What’s at the top of your wish list at the moment?

What we got each other for our pre-loved Christmas challenge.

For the second year running, we set ourselves a £150 budget to find something pre-loved that the other person will genuinely love. No gift cards, no panic buys, just one really good piece.

It’s honestly become one of my favourite traditions. We start looking months in advance because we’re both quietly competitive and want to be the one who finds the best thing.

That’s the fun with pre-loved. You never really know what you’ll find for the budget, and being able to negotiate with private sellers means you can sometimes get something far better than you expected. Thoughtful, sustainable, and much more interesting than buying new.

I was on the hunt for a suede bomber for Warren as it felt like such a good addition to his spring wardrobe, so I was very pleased when I found this one from @reiss. The colour and texture work so well, and it instantly elevates the whole look.

And then under the tree for me… these from @polene_paris . I don’t wear earrings often, so I’m quite particular about shape, and he absolutely nailed it.

How do you think we did?

Three different ways to do elegance in 2026.

Which one feels most like you: 1, 2 or 3?

Elegance isn’t really a “style” in itself. It’s about how a look is put together, the intention behind it, and the care you take with the details when you get dressed. You can look elegant in many different ways, depending on the occasion.

January is the perfect time to start cultivating the habit of caring about the small details. To take a moment to set an intention of listening inwards when we get dressed and really only wear what we love and feel amazing in.

I’m personally a mix of all three of these styles, just worn at different moments.

✨Happy New Year, my loves.✨

Ending the year grateful for this community. For the thoughtful messages, the warmth, and those of you who quietly lurk (I see you, and I appreciate you). You’ve made this a genuinely pleasant corner of the internet, which feels no small thing given the state of the world.

Thank you for reminding me, daily, that there are still decent people out there. I’m very excited to see what 2026 brings. I have a feeling it may be an extraordinary year.

Also, for the record, the Yeti fur was a triumph. Minus two degrees and I was the only one not cold.

And the final #OneItemAMonth in 2025 is…

(Something large an fluffy)

… a @lanvin runway shearling coat from @vestiaireco 🤍

It would normally retail for many thousands, and I was extremely lucky to find it completely unworn for just over £500.

As @warrenmeliax gave me my December One Item A Month for my birthday, it’s his treat. I’m a lucky girl!

Now, call me the yeti! I shall never be cold again 🙌🏻

5 things we’re leaving behind as we enter 2026.

I don’t know about you, but to me 2026 already feels like a much more mature and structured year than 2025.

A year of making clever, informed choices based on self knowledge, experience and calm knowing.

It makes sense to leave the trend carousel and paying premium for good marketing and subpar quality behind. We are much too clever to fall for it now.

Instead it’s a year to lift individuality, start choosing from logic instead of emotion and celebrate our own small eccentricities.

What are you ready to leave behind?

Layering in winter does not have to be repetitive.

As a Scandi girl, I have spent my fair share of days battling a cold climate.

It is easy to give up and throw on the same massive coat every day, turning into a walking sleeping bag.

And that is totally fine if it is your vibe. However, there are many clever ways to layer that add variation, which can sometimes feel tricky to achieve in winter.

I have popped a few of my favourite ones in this reels.

Let’s steal elegant winter outfits from Pinterest.

Do you prefer look 1, 2, or 3?

Whenever I lack a bit of imagination, I turn to Pinterest and find looks that inspire me. Then I challenge myself to recreate them using items I already own.

It’s such a creativity starter. I always feel far more inspired by my wardrobe after forcing myself to look at it properly and figure out how to put these outfits together.

If you are feeling a bit stuck in a style rut, I highly recommend to give it a go.

I especially liked look number 1 today, and I think I’ll be re-wearing it very soon.

Warren has a new suit and needed an occasion to show it off, so we decided to go into London for some last-minute Christmas shopping.

And yes, we decided to go completely matching. Because why not? (Picking out this suit from @suitsupply was one of his highlights of 2025.)

First stop was @harrods, both for some stocking fillers and a few selected bits of delicious food for Christmas Day.

As I knew I needed him in a good mood for later, our second stop was the newly opened @thechanceryrosewood hotel for a @pomellespritz and a sour. It’s such a stunning venue, and we’ve already made it a regular whenever we go into town.

Last stop: @thediamond.lab. I’ve been a very good girl this year, and sometimes Santa needs a little nudge.

Now that we don’t live in London anymore, we make sure that each time we go in is really special. We take the opportunity to dress up and visit our very favourite places.

I truly believe that romanticising life makes you happier.

A little shortcut that really helped me figure out my personal style.

Sometimes you do not actually know what you like until you see it. Inspiration can be a really useful starting point when you feel a bit stuck.

We are often told to look at fashion magazines, celebrities, or “it girls” for style ideas. The problem is that most of those references are very trend driven, so their look changes all the time. That can make it hard to build a wardrobe that actually lasts.

You can look at classic style icons, of course, but there is not always that much material to study, and their lives and lifestyles were very different to ours.

What worked much better for me was finding a TV show where I genuinely loved the styling.

For me, it was Suits. The women are dressed in a very timeless way, but they all have distinct personal styles. It gave me a wide range of looks to take inspiration from without it feeling messy or confusing.

I pulled neutrals and beautiful fabrics from Jessica, more fitted silhouettes from Donna, and simple tucked-in shirts from Rachel. That became the base of my wardrobe.

From there, I started building a capsule that actually felt like me. It has evolved over time, but that original foundation is still there.

Do you have a TV show or character whose wardrobe you always love?

3 ways to style skinny jeans.

Which look feels most like you, 1, 2 or 3?

Skinny jeans have spent a while in the trend doghouse. And honestly, I was a little tired of them too. Sometimes a break is exactly what’s needed to see a piece with fresh eyes again.

I’m not ready to give them up for good. I just needed some distance to feel inspired by them again.

And trends aside, we don’t dress to please algorithms. We dress for ourselves. Personal style always matters more than what’s currently labelled “in” or “out”.

If this inspires you to pull your skinny jeans back out and rotate them into your wardrobe again, then mission accomplished.

They are still unmatched when it comes to pairing with tall boots.

Stylist vs wardrobe expert: what’s the difference?

I’m not a stylist, and I’m not aiming to be one.
My role isn’t to tell you what to buy or what I think suits you best.

Instead, I give you the tools to figure it out for yourself. To learn how to listen inward and limit external input, so you can hone in on your own personal style and curate a wardrobe based on your individual likes and needs.

Don’t get me wrong, a stylist can be fantastic for a special occasion or if you want to shake things up and see clothes from a new perspective. But it’s a short-term solution.

When you learn to trust yourself, you gain a skill for life. One that allows you to build a wardrobe that’s truly authentic to you.

It’s my birthday! 🥂 So how better to celebrate than to deep dive into my wardrobe and bring out my most stunning, absolute favourite dresses that make me feel like a fairytale princess every time I wear them. ✨

I have to say, it was hard to narrow it down to 5 and then even harder to rank them. They each have their own uses and some are more versatile than others.

So I decided to just go on how I feel when I wear them!

Now I want to know - Would you wear any of them?

This is why you hate your wardrobe

(And I will also give you the solutions to fix it.)

1. You have too many items, and most of them are mismatched, tied to old trends, or pieces you once loved but no longer want to wear.

The solution – A proper clear-out is the only way to solve this. Without it, you will never be able to see or reach the items you actually want to wear.

2. Your wardrobe is living in either the past or the future. You are holding on to styles and pieces that defined you years ago and no longer suit or fit, or you are keeping aspirational items you plan to wear “one day”.

Solution – Remove anything that doesn’t align with who you are today, the body you have now and the lifestyle you are living in the present.

3. You don’t have a plan when you shop. You buy into trends and items you think you’re “meant” to own instead of what you actually need and want.

Solution – Create a buying plan before you shop. Review what you own, assess the gaps, and identify the pieces that will make the rest of your wardrobe work harder for you.

There are plenty more reasons and solutions for why you might hate your wardrobe. Are any of the three above true for you, or is there another reason?

The 5 looks of Christmas ✨

Being Swedish means Christmas Eve is the main event. We dress up properly; a beautiful dress, heels, something sparkly and spend the evening eating, drinking and celebrating before Santa arrives to hand out gifts to the children. It has always been the highlight of the season for me.

But living in the UK means we mix traditions. We split the presents in two, with a few opened on Christmas Eve and the rest saved for Christmas morning. It gives us two full days of celebration instead of just one, which I secretly love.

Christmas Day always includes a long walk, followed by the full British Christmas dinner with crackers and those paper crowns I’ve grown surprisingly fond of.

And by Boxing Day, we finish it all off with a slow, cosy pub brunch.

It’s the perfect blend of both worlds for us.

How do you celebrate Christmas in your family? Any unique traditions you look forward to every year?

A complete small capsule wardrobe for the office 👌🏻

This edit is designed to be flexible. You can keep it as tight as six pieces or build it out to twelve if you want more variety. It all depends on your lifestyle, how formal your office is, and how often you like to rotate your looks.

I’m focusing on neutrals here because most of us already know how to wear black in a corporate setting. Neutrals make everything feel softer, more elevated, and every piece works just as well in other colours if you prefer a different palette.

The foundation is simple: high quality materials, clean shapes and great tailoring. Make sure that each piece is well chosen and it will all come together beautifully.

Footwear-wise, I’d add a pair of nude pumps, cream or beige ballerinas, and a smart loafer to tie the whole wardrobe together.

Save this post for when you are putting your own workwear wardrobe together or send it to someone who might need a little help.

5 types of Christmas girlies 🌲

Are you more of a quiet luxury, old money, comfy & cosy, minimalist or a hostess?

I’m a mix of the first two myself.

Quiet Luxury:
Think elevated essentials in beautiful fabrics. Cashmere, soft tailoring, tonal layers and jewellery that whispers rather than shouts. Polished, understated, effortless.

Old Money:
Structured silhouettes, heritage textures, deep winter tones and classic accessories. The kind of look that feels timeless no matter the year or trend cycle.

Comfy & Cosy:
Chunky knits, warm neutrals, relaxed fits, and soft textures you want to sink into. Comfort first, but still curated and intentional.

Minimalist:
Clean lines, monochrome palettes and simplicity with purpose. Every element is considered, and nothing is added without meaning.

The Hostess:
Chic dresses, elegant separates and refined accessories that feel festive but still functional. The lady who looks perfectly put-together while making the whole evening run smoothly.

An elegant Christmas outfit

The idea of being “overdressed” has never made much sense to me.

You can misread a dress code or arrive underdressed, but true elegance is never out of place. If anything, it sets the tone for the entire moment.

Life is far too short to let our beautiful pieces sit waiting for the “perfect” occasion. Wear the things that make you feel extra. Choose the outfit that reflects who you are, not just where you’re going. Genuine style is never a mismatch, it’s a statement.

And my One Item a Month purchase for November is…

…these incredible winter boots by @bogner.

I was hoping they would go into the Black Friday sale. They didn’t, and when I saw the sizes starting to disappear, I decided to get them anyway.

Start your 2026 with a wardrobe reset!

The question I hear more than anything else:
Tess… I want a wardrobe I actually love, but I have no idea where to start.

And honestly, I get it. Most people don’t have a fashion problem; they have an overwhelm problem. Too much noise, too many options, and no real framework to make sense of it.

For a long time I thought the answer needed to be a big glossy book. But I know myself: I like things that are clear, practical, and actually work. So instead, I built something much simpler and far more effective.

That’s how the “7 Day Wardrobe Reset” came to life.
It’s the exact process I’ve refined over six years of trial, error, and hundreds of real wardrobes. It takes you from “I don’t even know what my style is” to “I finally feel in control of my closet” in a way that feels doable, not daunting.

This is essentially what I do with my private clients, but the DIY version.

You can complete it in a focused week, or stretch it out if you prefer a slower rhythm. Either way, it consistently transforms even the most chaotic wardrobes into a clean, confident foundation you can build your dream style on.

If this feels like the reset you’ve been craving, just comment “reset” and I’ll send it straight to you.
If you want the outfit details instead, comment “link” and I’ll DM you. Both are also in my bio.

🤍I want this to be super accessible to my followers, so you can use the code “FIRST40” for 40 percent off.🤍

5 outfits for when you don’t know what to wear to the Christmas party. 🎁

Would you rather wear 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5?

It’s easy to reach for the trusted sparkly mini dress or LBD, but sometimes it’s fun to mix it up a little.

Here are 5 Christmas-themed party looks for different types of festive gatherings and events. ✨

Fabrics like silk and velvet have a lovely Christmas feel. Sequins are always a win, metallics too. But let’s not forget lace, and why not throw in a star or two?

This is the season to sparkle and shine after all. 🌟

🤍You can find the items I’m wearing in my link in bio, or just comment “link” and I will DM the links to you 🤍

…and if you want to start your own wardrobe journey, I suggest you begin with the 7 day wardrobe reset. Just comment “reset” and I will send you a dm. (Use the code “FIRST40” for 40% off)

What I wore in November…

…it was a busy month with some wonderful highlights;

2 castles, an Irish night out with @sineadkearythelabel , a private concert with @jamiecullum, educational lunch with @sweedbeauty all wrapped up by an absolutely magical evening at the ballet for the opening night of the nutcracker with @audiuk 🩰

I like to pretend that all my months are as glamorous and exciting as this one. But let’s not forget all the school runs, food shops, horse rides and sports fixtures to watch in-between.

Coming into December I predict some fun Christmas party dresses and more warming layers. I’m also off to Sweden for a week, and then we are talking proper cold weather dressing ❄️

Which look of the above is your favourite?
