The Monthly Newsletter // April 2025 Enrichment For Dogs 🧩 ; the importance of brain exercise Sometimes mental stimulation gets put on the back burner because physical health is so prioritized in canine health. While health of the body is number one, the health of the brain is just as important if not more! The brain is the powerhouse of the body and if the mind is in good health the body will follow suit. We often forget that high energy dogs are typically very smart and can benefit from puzzles and daily activities/tasks to make their brain work. A couple of my favorite options for simple and easy to use brain games for your dog are pictured here! Toys we have and use on a weekly basis. I have two working dogs that require a lot of mental exercises especially on days it’s rainy and we’re unable to get outside for long periods of time. Puzzles are a fabulous way to give your dog the satisfaction of working for a reward through toppls and frozen treats! 1. @mywoof Woof Pupsicle line is one of my all time favorite toys. The easy to screw on/off top is easy for us to add treats/clean but when fully on is seamless & 100% dog proof. They offer tons of pre-made treats to use for multiple health concerns but also sell a reusable food-safe silicone tray to make your own treats at home! 2. @westpawus Toppl Puzzles are awesome to pack in a whole meal if you wanted to. My favorite is to freeze their raw meat along with other superfoods to make for a frozen puzzle on a hot day. A great way to make dinner more interesting There are so many different recipes online that you can be inspired from and use what works best for your dog! LTKPets
