It seems designers are moving away from the sterile grey and white kitchen but white cabinets will continue to be a timeless classic. With the right finishes a white kitchen can be a warm and cozy place but finding the balance can be difficult. I have a few tried and true tips for bringing the warmth into a white kitchen. Our kitchen has white cabinets and walls but it’s one of the coziest rooms in our home and here’s why: 1. Copper- copper utensils, copper pans, and my absolute favorite- vintage copper jello molds. I love seeing them hanging behind the range. 2. Brass hardware- bonus points if they are unlaquered. The patina ours have developed over the last year and a half only adds to the warm, loved in feel. 3. Warm wood floors- the floor is one of the largest surfaces of the room and that shouldn’t be disregarded. We chose a warm, coffee brown and a lighter shade of brown for the kitchen island. I think a white island would have felt cold, especially with the countertops I chose which are white and gray with a brown veining. 4. Wicker- every room should have some variation of wicker, even the kitchen. Baskets are versatile and add texture which helps cozy a space up. englishcottage cottage acnhcottagecoreinspo cottagecoreaesthetic cottagekitchen frenchcountrystyle frenchcountry frenchcountryside frenchcountrydecor kitchen kitchendesignideas kitchendesign kitchensofinstagram #aesthetic
