It’ not just a place to sit, it’s an entire room dedicated to being a family! What a wonderful idea, right?! We love to stock ours with games, both board and video, loads of blankets, the fluffier the better, (and plenty of places to stash extras, like an ottoman and baskets) and lots of fluffy pillows to lounge on. The sofa MUST be soft, the coffee table never too precious, and the more family photos the better. A candle (or diffuser!) is always a good idea. You want this space to smell like a warm hug... and cake! Don’t forget a soft rug under foot.
