I can’t really explain just how nice this coat is, the quality is really, really good for the high street. Hand-finished, double-faced wool, you really feel like you’re slipping into a designer coat. It’s got that kind of satisfying weight to it whilst still being fluid and malleable. Not bulky, which I really look for in a good winter coat because I like to wear a lot of chunky knitwear. The scarf detail is such a nice touch too, having the matching scarf just adds to the finish. Reached for grey denim for a change and comfy black boots.

I’m living in this brown quilted jacket. Being collarless it’s nice to feel a bit less bulky as autumn is so changeable weather-wise. I can add a scarf first thing when it’s freezing and wear it as is later in the day when it warms up. Also really comfy, I like anything quilted.

Barrel leg jeans are starting to feel like my joggers, I find them so comfortable to wear. There’s a lot of opinions about which shoes do and don’t work with barrels, I just stick to slimline shoe silhouettes and nothing chunky, to balance out the volume of the leg shape.

For a wardrobe piece I consider a modern classic in my repertoire, it’s mad I only actually wear this black blazer in the autumn/winter months. She’s been stowed away all summer long and now it’s finally time to get her back out.

Perfectly outsized, draping nicely off the shoulders and falling into a fluid yet structured silhouette, I defy you to find a better everyday tailored blazer.

In focus: rugby stripes. A total classic getting its moment in the autumn spotlight. I’m wearing mine with denim and tailored trousers, with leather, clashing the sports element with a flowy skirt and of course, as an alt gym top with workout leggings. The key to looking effortless-preppy, not stuffy-preppy is in the fit. The shape should be contemporary, straight lines, almost boxy (definitely not fitted). The autumn colours are so good - burgundy, brown, navy - and add to the retro charm.

The linen chocolate spring skirt I posted on Instagram and TikTok. It has a lovely straight yet floaty silhouette, is linen and has a tie waist detail. This will be perfect this spring/summer switching between office and beachy. Plus, brown is still my colour of choice! Put it with a simple black tee, raffia bag and black leather flip flops for polish.

It’s time. Spring midi skirts are coming out of storage. Airy cotton styles and some linen staples to live in with t-shirts, button down shirts, knitwear, sweatshirts and vests. I find a slightly A-line or straight, column silhouette most flattering on my body type (a full skirt doesn’t really work for me). I’ll be adding these to my suitcase later in the summer as beach options with swimwear and they work just as well in the evening with dressier pieces.

For now, I’ve been leaning into spring midi skirt styling with sandals and raffia bags, swapping in trainers, suede clogs and leather mules on those days it’s still a bit nippy. (Or raining!)

This cotton poplin A-line one is a good find, isn’t see-through and has pockets! Skirt season is upon us.
