Everyone needs to read this book! ✨Eddie Jaku, a Holocaust survivor shares his horrific journey and how his experiences led him to lead a life of purpose and to have joy despite his circumstances.

We listened to this on audio as a family. It was definitely hard to listen to but so important for my kids to hear. Even my teenager would ask to listen to it as soon as we got into the car!

I want to buy a physical copy so I can go back and highlight some of Eddie’s wise words and life lessons!

This meaningful book is one I will always remember!

First finished book of the year! Honestly, I did not know much about Ina Garten or Barefoot Contessa before picking up this book! It had received a lot of buzz so I thought I’d give it a try!
Overall, I really enjoyed her story, her business adventures and she inspired me to cook more!
The book includes a few recipes-I’ve already tried the Outrageous Brownies and they were a hit!
If you’re looking for a new career path, want to renovate a house, a trip to the Hamptons or just some inspiration for this new year-I would recommend this book!

📖 Operation Happy: {Even my 14 year old liked this one!!} A young girl tries to cope with WWII and pressures of family life with her trusty dog, Happy. The book features the dog’s point of view and is inspired by real-life experiences of a young Pearl Harbor survivor. *The book does have heavy content including war, depression, family hardships. We listened to this one on audio and the kids would say can we listen to our book as soon as we got in!

📖We are big fans of @kealbus Nothing Else But Miracles shares a hopeful WWII story about three siblings having to navigating on their own during the war in NYC. This novel embraces the power of community during hard times
