✨ WHY I ALWAYS LAYER MY TABLECLOTHS (and you should too!) ✨

Ever wondered why restaurant tables look so luxe? The secret is LAYERS! I used to throw on a single tablecloth and call it a day, but trust me, the layered approach is a total game-changer.

Layering creates depth, texture and that expensive custom look without the custom price tag. I like to start with a full-length neutral base cloth, then add a contrasting runner or tablecloth. The dimensional effect instantly elevates your setting from “nice dinner” to “wow moment” that guests will actually remember!

Plus, it’s practical - spills on the top layer? Just remove it and you’ve still got protection underneath! This trick works for ANY occasion from casual brunches to formal dinners.

One thing I always add to elevate my table setting?

An oversized table cloth as the base layer - this hides the legs & instantly elevates the look of a plastic folding table. I’ve used it to spruce up our al fresco dinners, birthday parties & baby showers!

I learned this trick from @tohavetohost and it has been one of the easiest ways to bring your folding table to life!

Hey friends, We have only been home a couple of days since leaving the island Hope Town in the Abaco, Bahamas. This was the most beautiful beach I have ever seen in my life… Eric and I never wanted to leave after all of the fun we had. The water is a bright turquoise & the locals are so kind! This was out first trip to the Bahamas, outside of Nassau on a cruise ship, and THIS is the way to visit the Bahamas, hands down! Our family has been visiting for years, so they know the ins & outs of getting there, where to stay, eat & what to do.

In doing my own research I did not come across anything specific to Hope Town, where we wanted to visit. It can be an intimidating process to plan a trip like this, so here are a couple of tips, before I get into my travel guide & outfit recap.
