Stop separating your dress clothes from your casual clothes! I used to think you had your dress clothes and your casual clothes (and your home clothes but that’s a whole other category) and neither crossed the line. Since moving to NY, I’ve also learned that everybody has a completely different idea of what dressing up means. No two people show up to the same event wearing similar styles. Here, clothes are just a vehicle for you to show your personality. Because of that, dress clothes can happily cross the line and play with your casual clothes. I actually love that kind of pairing more. I’m more interested in owning pieces that play both sides like these @express satin stretch pants.
