18,000 steps and counting...my feet? 👣 Still warm, dry, and surprisingly comfortable.

On a recent trip to LA, I did a little Nordstrom Rack haul and picked up a few travel-friendly shoes including this white waterproof KEEN walking/hiking pair. 👟 I honestly bought them for function, but they ended up looking really cute with my go-to 2-piece airport sets, too. ✈️ The price was too good to pass up, so into my cart they went. 🤩

I wore them straight out of the box on a last-minute multi-flight trip to Europe, and the first real test was a layover in Dublin. Between airport connections and city wandering, I racked up over 18,000 steps that day and my feet never complained.

We lucked out with sunshine, so I didn’t get to test the waterproofing just yet, but I was blown away by how warm they kept my feet in just 2°C (35°F) weather. My legs were freezing 🥶, but my feet? Cozy and supported when paried with my merino wool compression socks. 😊

These KEEN shoes are a win: functional first, with enough style to take you from the plane to sightseeing without missing a beat. ✅

🚨 BACK IN STOCK 🚨Our Compass Rose Secret Bra Wallet is officially back! 🎉

Back in 2008, my grandma and I were on our first trip to Europe - a whirlwind 10-day tour. On Day 2, the tour group left us behind at the train station. Our bags, our purses, and even our passports were still on the bus. 😱
We didn’t have phones. We didn’t know the local language. No one at the train station spoke English. Everything inside the station was closed, and we felt completely alone.

By some miracle we caught the Air France office staff right as they were closing. They kindly let us use their phone to call the tour company only to find out:

☑️ They had no idea we were missing
☑️ They refused to come back for us

As we’d never traveled outside of North America this was a terrifying experience, especially for my grandmother. Suddenly, her eyes perked up as she remembered that she’d snuck some money and a credit card inside her SHOE!!! Her forward thinking saved us. We made it to Amsterdam that night, exhausted, shaken, but safe.

From that moment on, I never traveled without a backup. My grandma gave me a tiny bra pouch that came with me around the world and inspired the Compass Rose Secret Bra Wallet.
