I’ve never received so many compliments at an airport as I did on my Christmas Eve flight from Cancun to Louisville. I was stopped even on the plane by two flight attendants (arguably the ultimate judges of travel outfits!). 😊 I’ll take that as a major win.

On my recent trip to Finland, my Columbia Payton Pass IC Jacket was EVERYTHING. 🩵

I’m 100% a Columbia fan, especially when it comes to their winter jackets but I was a little unsure if it could handle arctic conditions. 🥶 But IT DID. The Omni-Tech Plus waterproofing is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. It kept me warm, is a good length and spacious enough for layers. 🧥 I’d 100% recommend it and was very happy that it worked even in such a cold setting even playing on the snow with my 4 year old! ☃️

I've learned that when traveling as a family, it's easier with checked luggage plus backpacks. 🎒

On my recent trip to Finland 🇫🇮 our packing set up was:
✈️ One 28" Osprey suitcase (checked)
✈️ One Osprey carry-on size backpack
✈️ One 28L Bagsmart day pack
✈️ On the way back, we had two extra personal items (my RM Julian backpack and a packable tote) since we ended up buying winter clothes there! 🥶
We used a combination of Compass Rose packing cubes. Each adult had 2 medium cubes plus 1 slim, and my daughter had 1 medium plus 2 slim. 🧳
The kicker? We had 2 medium packing cubes of clothes that went mostly unused by my partner's and my daughter's, not mine of course! 😂 I bought winter gear for my daughter in Helsinki since she didn't have any, so she hardly used the non-weather-appropriate "cold weather" clothes I'd packed for her.

I recently shared these waterproof Blondo Boots and OMG they were such a shock! 🤩 I only packed them for my latest trip to Finland because I didn’t have my Sorel snow boots, yet they ended up working sooo well!! 👢✅ Worn with 2-3 pairs or merino wool socks they were shockingly amazing!!! However, I would still recommend proper snow boots to be sure, but these were perfectly waterproof and my feet stayed warm the majority of the time. 😊
