Not to be an alarmist but you could have a major toxin polluting your air. If you live in about 70% of the US, you live on rock that has levels of uranium that decay into radon gas at higher than recommended levels for healthy air quality. When that gas is outside it dissipates and is diluted but when it comes through a home’s foundation it can concentrate in your home. That’s why it’s important to get it checked! If you own a home make sure to get a radon test done! If the levels come back higher than 4pCi/L then you need a professional system installed. This will exchange the air to prevent radon gas buildup. Afterwards you’ll need a confirmatory radon test and an in home monitor (see linked below) to ensure your levels remain below the threshold. Make sure your emergency savings accounts for garage maintenance. So far as homeowners we have had to replace the springs (at our previous home) and most recently our garage lift. It’s important to know the lifespan of different parts so you can save accordingly and not be caught in a bind when repairs are needed. We also learned that we can do preventative maintenance on many of the components by properly lubricating them every 6 months. I am linking what our repair guy recommended (use a mask because it’s not non toxic), and will caution DO NOT use WD40. Dry brushing is a daily routine I added in my 30s that I wish I had started earlier. Not only is it a great way to exfoliate your skin, but most importantly it helps promote lymph drainage. To get started just follow look up a quick video on manual lymph drainage and use your brush daily to complete that routine. I’ve tried about 10 different non toxic dishwasher products and this is my top pick! It has clean ingredients and works AMAZING for us! I tried several clean ingredient products in pod form but ultimately decided after researching micro plastics more that pods weren’t something I was willing to use. When they dissolve they release micro plastics so we’ve switched to powder form only. NOTE: I would not recommend using this citrus scented version and will be opting for unscented on my next order.
