I have a winter skincare secret to share! I know that I'm not the only one that struggles with dry, itchy skin in the winter. When I was a bit younger (I'm in my late 40's now), I was able to just swap to a creamier moisturizer for the winter. Dryness dealt with, I was just as glowy as the summer.

But now that I'm a little older, the moisturizer swap isn't enough. I still have a bit of dryness on the surface of my skin, and it definitely affects how my makeup applies and wears throughout the day. I feel less glowy, my makeup is wearing off in uneven patches and also a bit cakey and even can pill easily.

The secret is adding in additional exfoliation with that moisturizer swap out. Keeping the surface the skin clear of dead skin helps with all of the issues I was experiencing and gives me back my summer glow! One of the easiest ways to do that is with my go-to exfoliating pad, the Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads. They're super easy to use and get the job done without irritating my sensitive skin. I use them a few nights a week.

One of my all time favorite facial duos is on a huge deal today over at @QVC and I had to share it! This is the face wash that lives in my shower, and also at my sink. My go-to exfoliating pad is included. And you get a full size of each as well as a travel size! It's all for a price that makes it easy to stock up, which I admit I'm not surprised about because I feel like QVC is a great place to look for beauty deals like this.

The Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash is the one that I have used daily for years. It's gentle, doesn't irritate my sensitive skin and easily removes all makeup while providing gentle exfoliation. Is it a shine spray, or a heat protectant? Actually it's both. This spray from Verb is very versatile, you can use it on dry or wet hair. It smooths frizz, shines up my hair (making it look much healthier) and then protects it from heat styling!

This is the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, one of my go-to products for when my skin is pretty dry or irritated. This is the Too Faced Killer Liner 36 Hour Waterproof Gel Eyeliner, and it's really underrated. It's a super pigmented and smooth liner, it applies very quickly and easily (look at that quick scribble on my arm!) and once you give in about a minute, it sets up and WILL NOT MOVE. Not even if you swim. But you can smudge it out in that minute, and it's perfect for a smokey eye.

I'm stock up on this face wash today! This is @Philosophy's Microdelivery, which is a gentle but exfoliating face wash. It's basically the next step up from their Purity Made Simple One Step Facial Cleanser, which I also love. Both take of allllll the things without over drying, but I need the extra exfoliation at the end of the summer.

I haven't been shy about how excited I am about this fall's @ULTBeauty 21 Days of Beauty event, and especially my thoughts on what I think are the best deals. Hands down, it is the included IT Brushes for ULTA.

These brushes are soooo well made, and they last for years! They really do make your makeup apply better, and are worth the investment.
