Worth the wait! I'm finally ready to share some still shots of the kitchen renovation!

This was a true labor of love, and it pushed me out of my comfort zone in more ways than one, but I wouldn't take it back for anything. I learned so many new DIY skills, had some fresh lessons in the concept of "patience" and ended up with a kitchen that finally feels like me.

You’ve probably heard of paintable caulk but have you heard of tintable caulk?

I’m all about working smarter not harder, especially with a large scale renovation like a kitchen. Exact color caulk by @sashcoinc takes a step out of the process by allowing you to color match your caulk to your paint color. And it couldn’t have been easier. Here’s all you need to do:

- snip the caulk bottle open
- add 20 ml of your paint to the caulk (measuring tool included)
- screw lid on and shake for 60 seconds
- add provided thickener
- add lid and shake for 60 more seconds
- wait 30 minutes
- caulk as you normally would

I’m not kidding when I say I’ll never buy paintable caulk again. I wish I would’ve discovered this sooner because it’s a game changer!

Sharing a close up of my new walnut butcher block counter top for my small kitchen island. I chose a chevron pattern and absolutely love it, but if that’s not your style there are so many other options and sizes to choose from. This is such a fantastic alternative to a stone counter and much more affordable too!

I ordered this pull out shelving for blind corner cabinets and am so excited to never crawl in my kitchen cabinet again 😂

My budget friendly kitchen renovation plans include transforming my granite counter tops into a marble look! I’m using this marble counter top kit gifted to me by Giani and am so excited. They have so many different versions (there’s a gold marble option, plain white, black and more). Im looking forward to brightening these counters up without spending a fortune!

I’m currently renovating my kitchen and rather than a tile backsplash I’m opting for pretty paneling painted in the same color as the cabinets. I think it will create a seamless look. Sharing the unboxing of my new paneling which is solid on one side and a bead board on the other. This is solid wood and pre primed - ready for paint!

If you hate your countertops but don’t want to spend thousands on new ones, this is for you! I transformed my dark dingy granite countertops into a Carrara marble finish using the countertop kit from Giani. After cleaning and priming, the next step is to add veins, feather and then epoxy. I’m so thrilled with the results and how this has completely changed my kitchen (which is still mid renovation). This is a simple weekend DIY that’s a game changer!
