The home office reveal ✨

What was once a white box is now one of the most inspiring rooms in the house. From the detailed trim work to the wallpaper mural wrapped in the warmest, saturated cream, this space feels like it’s quietly saying, please come in and stay awhile.

I’m so excited to finally have a room that supports the work that matters most to me—both my design work and my content creation. A space that feels layered, grounded, and creative in all the right ways.

A look at this years holiday staircase design and staircases past. I love how traditional this years feels, but I also still love last years! Here’s the difference:
2025 garland: 2 x deluxe Norfolk pine garlands with 4 total at the base. 2 inch velvet burgundy ribbon.
2024 garland: base of cypress garland with prelit hemlock garland on top. Skinny burgundy velvet ribbon.
2023 garland: Norfolk pine garland but not layered (IMO not enough!) with skinny velvet burgundy ribbon.

Garland and a thick velvet burgundy ribbon is all you need. I kept the staircase simple this year, layering Norfolk pine garland and adding a couple extra pieces at the base. What I used: 2 x deluxe Norfolk pine along the entire banister. 2 extra pieces at newel post. Burgundy ribbon twisted into bows and bells at the base. #christmasdecor #garland #holiday

Everything was going too smoothly… until my paint sprayer turned on me. 🤦‍♀️ One wrong-way nozzle and suddenly I’m pressure-washing primer onto my dentil molding and wiping drips for hours. A humbling moment in an otherwise dreamy transformation.

The silver lining? I’m using the new flat eggshell finish @farrowandball for my topcoat and it’s going to be my saving grace. I used the same finish in my primary bathroom and loved how durable it was, but it’s also soft enough to help disguise those tiny primer mishaps I definitely didn’t catch. A win for both beauty and forgiveness.

For the trim work and walls I went with Joa’s White - the perfect saturated warm cream that’s already making me swoon. For the ceiling I went a couple shades lighter with the color Dimity and it’s proving to be the perfect compliment.

This is the 7’ flocked Noble with warm LED lights. I wanted the 8’ but they were sold out so I just popped this on a suitcase and wrapped a furry blanket around it. I think it works! Seriously check the open box section!

A glimpse of Christmas in my cozy tv room. Every year I change my decorations just a little. This year I layered cedar garland as a base and the prelit hemlock garland on top. Some premade bright red bows flanking the corners gave it a little something extra and my white ceramic village on the bookshelves adds more glow. So happy with how the Christmas decor is shaping up this year 🎄

This room has been quietly waiting for its moment, and this week it finally started to come to life.

When I first walked into this office it felt flat and unfinished, the kind of space you rush past instead of spend time in. Once the old peel and stick wallpaper came down (an covid eraproject I regretted) and I stripped it back to a true white box, the vision finally had room to take shape.

From there, every layer shifted the energy. The trim added the architectural detail I’ve been craving, and the dentil crown molding brought in that classic, traditional feel that grounds the entire room. It already feels like such a different space thanks to the gorgeous woodwork from @ornamentalmoulding @novobp.

And now we’re onto the part I’ve been so excited for. I’ll be spraying all of the trim in Joa’s White from @farrowandball. It’s the dreamiest warm cream, and I know it’s going to make the room feel cozy, inviting, and genuinely inspiring to work in.

After that, the mural wallpaper from @belartestudio goes up and then it’s finally time to decorate!

Depending on the order of install for your project tintable caulk is such an amazing time saver! For the kitchen last year I painted the cabinets first, but needed to hand paint the backsplash (to get in the grooves) before I could install. Therefore I had to wait to caulk last.
