I just got this dress because it is a classic timeless piece I can wear for all seasons. It is silk not cotton (which the product shots looked more structured cotton). I am wearing a turquoise squash blossom and earrings with it to add interest and texture.

Last night was a black tie dinner in Africa and I searched high and low for an appropriate dress. I ultimately couldn’t find what I had imagined so I made it. I purchased two of this trench - an XS to wear and then an XXL for the fabric, which allowed me to add more length to the hem and also more fabric to the sides to make a fuller skirt.

I researched raffia style woven loafers and finally settled on this gorgeous pair. They have a cool non-chalance about them and are very well made and super comfortable.
I’m wearing a size 41 which is my normal size but if you are between sizes I would say to size down. I’m sure these will stretch a little.
