I needed a corner store fix and if you grew up in Jersey you know exactly what that means. The chicken and rice. The steam trays. The energy of a real corner store that just feels like home. We pulled up to Fresh Deli here in Fayetteville and I was not expecting much because nothing is ever exactly like Jersey. But that chicken and rice? On point. And they had turkey ham available, and chopped cheese sandwiches which is not something you find everywhere and if you grew up eating it you understand why that detail matters. 😂 Is it exactly like home?
