As a young designer in the 90’s I looked to Vivienne Westwood for inspiration, for affirmation, and for the courage to express myself through the clothes that I wore. Each of her shows was a history lesson on the modern runway, and that was after she basically birthed the era of punk. The word Icon is thrown around a lot today.
