Why did nobody tell me you were meant to grow your roses sideways?? 😶 I planted these climbing roses when we moved into our house 3 years ago and they were teeny tiny little things 😅 the house was (and still is) a mess in a lot of places but I was so excited to have a yard that I planted them anyway! The first year they didn’t do much of anything and I kind of forgot about them, the second they grew a lot and started to look like a tangled mess on the trellis 🥴 they didn’t produce too many roses though This spring I removed the trellis and attached them to the house with little clips, trying to send them shooting sideways rather than up.. Well they have flourished !! Summer has only just arrived and they are already COVERED in blooms 😍 I walk outside to stare at them at least three times a day 😂 but they’re just so very beautiful and they give off a lovely smell that’s surprisingly not overpowering at all given the amount of flowers present! Now I want to try more! What’s your favorite climbing plant??
