I was told to run a pipe across my yard 😬 so I built a river instead ✨ When I swapped our downspout for a rain chain, I knew proper drainage still mattered. I just didn’t want the solution to be an eyesore. So I created a dry river bed to guide water away from the house, protect our foundation, and turn a practical problem into something intentional (and a little magical 🥹💧🌿). No heavy machinery, just a spade, an old pond liner, and some rocks. A functional solution that happens to look like a whimsical river 😍 If you’ve been stuck choosing between practical and beautiful… you don’t have to 😉 ............................................................................
