A morning basket is such a great way to have activities already setup when your kids wake up! I like to fill my morning basket with a couple of different activities that they can independently play with!
Since it's officially spooky season, I wanted to do a spooky themed morning basket for them!

In my basket, I did two sensory bins, a memory game, a sorting game, I spy, an art book, two activity books and magna tiles!

#ad I think we found the perfect toy for kids who love PAW Patrol AND dinosaurs! 🦖🐾

My kids are so excited for PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, coming August 14, and these Bouncy Pals by @iplayilearntoys_official have been such a fun way to bring a little bit of the movie adventure home while we wait! 🥹

They can ride, bounce and make up their own adventures with them, and I already know these are going to get SO much play around here!

I am such a firm believer that you will never regret the time or effort you put into your kids ag It doesn't have to be anything big or extravagant, even something small goes a long way!
Childhood is the one time in their life when they can just be a kid, free from the worries of the world! I love finding ways to add magic into every day moments! Setting up a little back to school decoration for them to wake up to on the first day of school is a great way to get rid of those first day of school jitters!
I loved this game I found! They spin the spinner and answer the question that it lands on! This was such a fun game to play during breakfast on the first day of school!
I also loved these cute lunch cards that you can sneak into their lunch!

I thought it would be fun to start sharing some cute family date nights we've done that were fun!
We did a paint night with mini canvases, mini charcuterie boards and Shirley temples! 50
The kids loved this one! One of the best mom hacks I have figured out is to include your kids in your own hobbies! It's a great way to share interests and spend quality time together!

Here’s a fun way to tie-dye! All you do is take water wipes, and tie them with rubber bands like you would tie-dye. Then you use washable markers to color them in. Remove the rubber bands and let them sit in the sun to dry! Once they’re dry, they feel like fabric and you can use them for different crafts! We made bracelets, necklaces, and change purses!

It's so good for ocean sensory play!
All you need to make water slime is 1 cup of warm water, 1/2 teaspoon of spoon of guar gum, blue food coloring and 1 tablespoon of activator! You can multiply it to make ad many cups as you like! We made six in this video!

This might just be my favorite craft yet! I painted wooden letters and then sprayed them with a gloss spray to make them look shiny! Then I added magnets to the back of them so that the kids could use them on the fridge :)

Welcome to day three of backyard summer camp, where we made our own squishies! We filled them with everything from slime to clay to water and even air! We made crunchy ones we made soft ones and we even made silly ones! We ended the day by having the kids open their surprise dumplings! This will definitely be one we will be doing again! #craftymom #diy #squishies

We made DIY ice cream Play-Doh that looks and feels like real ice cream, and because it's made with frosting and powdered sugar, it's completely taste-safe for little ones too! (Still meant for playing, not snacking.
The kids loved scooping their own "ice cream," decorating it with sprinkles, and playing ice cream shop!
It's one of those activities that kept them busy for so much longer than I expected, and the texture is sO soft and satisfying
Just mix powdered sugar and frosting! That's it! Plus it's taste safe

Welcome to day 2 of backyard summer camp where today's adventure is bug day! We started off our activities by building and painting bug hotels for our garden, next we learned about life cycles of bugs where the kids each got to adopt a bug and build them a sensory home. We spent the next hour doing sensory play with their bug homes they built! We finished off the day by doing a bug scavenger hunt where the kids got to use their nets and bug catchers to catch bugs around the yard! Here one of the things my 3yo learned from the day!

I painted these mailboxes for my kids’ bedroom doors! 📬✨

Now they have a special place to leave each other notes, pictures, and little surprises. And my favorite part? I can sneak in letters, treats, and tiny gifts for them to find too. 🥹💛

I love creating things that add a little extra magic to everyday moments, and I have a feeling these mailboxes are going to be filled with memories for years to come.

I painted my cart in Valspar “Maison Blanche!”

For this week’s Backyard Summer Camp adventure, we did seashell painting, ocean sensory trays, sensory tubes, a seashell scavenger hunt, a sandcastle building contest, and of course a little game of keepy uppy with a beach ball!

Every week we are going to be doing a different camp and I can’t wait to share them all with you! Next week’s camp…🎨☀️🏡

Here's a fun way to tie dye with your kids to make it look like fireworks!
All you need are sharpies, rubbing alcohol, a cup and a rubber band!
Tie a shirt around a cup and let your kids doodle with sharpie! Then you just use a dropper to drop rubbing alcohol on the design and watch it spread! Make sure you put a piece of cardboard on the inside of the shirt because it will soak through:) The cup makes it form in a firework pattern!
Then you let it sit out until it completely dries.
Once dry, either put it in the dryer for 15 minutes or iron over the design on high heat (make sure you have a thin towel between)! The heat makes the design permanent!
