Going to answer some of the most common questions I get about this space 👇🏼 Do I miss the hangers? Not at all. Hooks are WAY more functional for our lifestyle, especially with three kids coming and going. Where do you hang/store extra coats? This space is only for the items we’re using this season. Anything we aren’t currently reaching for gets rotated into storage. What’s in the baskets up above? A little bit of everything we need access to, but not necessarily every day: • Rain gear • Accessories + extra jackets • My husband’s work hats • Shoe cleaner • Canvas shopping bags • Grandma has a basket for her things • Travel items like baby fans, portable sound machines, etc. Are the backpacks too heavy for the hooks? Where are the hooks from? We haven’t had an issue! The hooks are mounted directly into studs. Unfortunately, our exact gold hooks are sold out, but I linked similar options. What’s in the clear bins above the backpacks? Checklists, homework and other school papers/items that need to go back into their backpacks. What’s on your checklists? This little space works HARD for our family, and turning our only coat closet into a mini mudroom is still one of my favorite functional changes we’ve made to our home.
