I ordered a large and they were literally skin tight, so I would definitely need an XL or even XXL to make them work. I had no idea Mrs. Meyer’s made dog products, but we’ve been using these lately and I’m honestly so into them. Both are the sweet chamomile scent, which I really like because I feel like so many dog products either smell kind of weird or are always lavender. With a new baby, we are definitely not as on top of dog baths as we used to be, so this has been a really good setup for keeping him fresh in between.

Going through my pre-pregnancy clothes lately has been a little humbling, if I’m being honest. I have one pile that definitely doesn’t fit and another that is so far off it’s almost funny.

I think that part of postpartum has been harder than I expected — not even just that my body looks different, but realizing I can’t keep measuring myself against the version of me that existed before all of this.

Anyway, sharing these shorts because they actually feel good on my body right now. They have a little more length than I normally would’ve gone for before, but they’re comfortable, flattering, and have a good amount of stretch, which is very appreciated at this stage.

A little real-life mom moment from our safari park day. I grabbed 3 new swimsuits from Quince (2 bikinis + 1 one-piece) because it’s basically always sunny in San Diego and I needed something better than my maternity suit for spring. These feel like the perfect middle ground for this postpartum season - enough coverage/support to feel comfortable in my “new mom” body, but still cute and not frumpy.

Also, I’ve always struggled with swimsuits because they’re either super cheap and don’t hold up, or they’re $150 for two pieces of fabric 😅 Quince has been that sweet spot for me where the quality feels good and the price point still makes sense.

Finally upgraded my claw clip situation 😅 I’ve been hanging onto my last surviving clip for dear life because the rest of the pack I bought years ago have slowly snapped. I grabbed these larger clips since my hair is longer now and I don’t know why I waited - I was convinced a big clip would look obnoxious, but this one is the perfect “holds everything” size without looking silly huge. I got the color Coffee, and it comes in a bunch of really cute colors. Also love the square shape - it actually grips and stays put.
