I read 226 books in 2025 and of those 226 books only 20 were five star reads

These books blew me away and I cannot recommend them enough!

My favorite thing about these 20 books is that it really shows how much of a mood reader I truly am. As you all probably know thrillers are my jam but it’s nice to see at the end of the year that I can still find a love for other genres among many new favorite thriller books and recs 🤍

Okay so I really wanted to love this one and I truly think I would if I wasn’t so confused ? I felt like I got a little lost in the sauce throughout and it was hard for me to reel it back in and make sense of some things. I absolutely loved The Whisper Man by this author so I went into this one hoping for that same feeling. While it was a slow burn mystery / thriller I overall felt confused. I do like how this author writes about father/son relationships and their trials and triumphs.

I think once I do some research on what other readers thought of this book and maybe a little more of a plot and ending explained I will have liked this even more.

I’ve seen the movie more times than I can count and have even seen the musical live but never read the book until now. I know I’m as shocked as you are!

This is a classic and beautiful love story. It is a story whether you read it, watch it, or live it that you must hear in your lifetime.

Noah and Allie’s love story is one of my favorites and I hope this story gets told over and over again for years to come.
