✨ Hey Loves, new & old! ✨ I haven’t been super consistent on here lately, because I’ve been in a season of healing. But I feel led to reintroduce myself in this new chapter of my life and share a few things about me so you can truly know my heart. 🤎 My name is Melishia (muh-LISH-uh). I am a woman and child of God. My greatest desire is to use my pain, my story, and my gifts as my purpose. I’m learning every day to stay obedient to God’s will, even when it doesn’t look like what I expected. 🤎 I’m a proud Ma of two beautiful children who are truly my WHY. Everything I do is rooted in being the best version of myself, so I can be everything they need me to be. 🤎 I’ve been a nurse for 8 years, specializing in hospice. My first encounter with hospice was when my grandmother passed when I was just 14. That experience shaped me into the nurse I am today. Being able to walk families through those sacred end-of-life moments is one of the biggest blessings of my life. No one deserves to leave this world alone. 🤎 I’m walking through a new chapter after recently separating from my husband of 9 years (together for 12). This has been one of the most painful experiences, but also one of the most transformative. Through therapy, prayer, and stillness with God, I’ve found strength, worth, and clarity. For the first time in 2 months, I can smile through tears of joy instead of pain, because I know God has me and my babies covered. 🤎 At 19 I found my first lump, and at 32, another. I learned I had a 60% chance of developing breast cancer and chose to undergo a double mastectomy with DIEP flap reconstruction. Praise God, my breast tissue tested negative—I’m a Breast Cancer Previvor. Recently, I found something unfamiliar and I’m getting it checked. My message: know your body, do your checks, and be your best advocate. 🤎 This season has taught me to pause, protect my peace, and lean deeper into God. I’ll be taking breaks to focus on him, my children and healing. But my prayer is that every post I share inspires you, adds value, and reminds you that you are not alone. Thank you for being here.
