How to pack for short trips. 🧳

My absolute favourite travel organizer is this hanging shelf. You pack it, collapse it and put into the suitcase. Once at the hotel, you take it out and hang it. And that’s all you need to unpack. No messy storage in your suit, no need for packing unpacking if you change locations, no nasty smelling hotel drawers. It’s so easy!

My other travel must haves are the magnifying mirror that attaches to everything, like a bathroom mirror, shower walls or sink, and my travel clothes steamer.

My travel capsule for 5 days trip to NYC in October is 10 items: jeans, pleated dress pants, 3 tee-shirts, 2 sweaters, 1 blazer, leather jacket and classic trench+ 2 bags, belt, and 2 pairs of shoes.

I have one accent color burgundy- it’s a hot trend of this season 🍁 Obe of the tees, sweater, purse, belt and shoes are in matching burgundy color. The rest of the pieces are neutral - gray, blue, white and beige.

It makes 36 outfits (not counting bags and footwear variations) and obviously fits in the small carryon. Everything is matching and I can mix match and rotate pieces depending on my mood, occasion and weather 🌧️

I am not counting my lounge wear and underwear but of course I will be taking them.

All items are linked here. I also added here light beige wide pleated pants and a beige cashmere sweater from Uniqlo. Both of these are excellent basic items for any Fall/Spring wardrobe capsule. Hope it helps!
