It smooths the skin, adds luminosity, and helps foundation sit better instead of looking dry or flat. The soft glow underneath makes skin look more radiant — and radiant skin always looks younger.

It’s one small step, but it can completely change how your foundation looks on mature skin.

Fleece jackets look dated when the outfit has too much softness, busy patterns, or poor maintenance.

Here’s how to keep it modern:
• Choose solid colors (any color you like- I always prefer neutrals)
• Skip patterns — they cheapen the outfit
• Add structure with structured pants and pointed toe boots or shoes
• Layer a white or off-white tee underneath- it makes the look more sophisticated and freshens the face
• Open the zipper at least one third and pull up sleeves when you are inside
• Remove pilling regularly with fabric shaver
Add your favourite jewelry and bag

Monochrome looks where jacket color matches pants and shoes are more elevated and also slimming.

Try adding a thin belt to highlight your waist and see if you like it.

Every season, I add a few trendy pieces to my basic wardrobe. As a rule of thumb, I don’t buy anything unless I can wear it with at least three pieces already in my closet.

This spring I’m adding:

• Asymmetrical wide-leg jeans @zara – that one small detail, the asymmetrical zipper, instantly takes them from basic to elevated. It’s the kind of unique detailing that makes a simple outfit feel intentional.

• White polka dot set @Shein – I’m a big sucker for black and white polka dots. I have this as a set (pants + jacket), but I probably won’t wear them together. I’ll style them separately so each piece works harder with my black jeans, white pants, skirts, denim.

• Black faux leather peplum jacket – @Zara - oversized shapes are giving way to cinched silhouettes and hourglass lines. I’m embracing that shift with this peplum jacket that defines the waist and instantly sharpens the look.

• Icy blue color replaces the dusty pink this season – this shade is in my seasonal color palette, so it flatters me automatically. And it pairs beautifully with denim, navy, grey, white, even black.

Hair tutorial for flat, straight, shoulder-length hair after 50. If your hair refuses to hold a curl or falls flat by noon, try this step-by-step method.

Start with a styling leave-in treatment with heat protection — like Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray - it works well for smooth, frizz-free curls. I use a 1.5-inch barrel curling iron at 360 degrees to avoid heat damage.

If you’re new to hot tools, wear a heat-protective glove like the GHD Heat Protect Glove to prevent burns.

Curl each section in alternating directions — away from the face, then toward — to get volume and hold. Use a flexible hold spray like Sebastian Shaper, and let curls cool completely before touching them.

At night, pull your hair into a loose ponytail on top of your head to protect the shape while you sleep. I brush mine out with fingers in the morning to keep the texture.

The most hardworking piece in my closet for cold and wet weather are my faux leather pants. I have them in black, brown and beige. They keep warm and dry in rain and snow, and I can just wipe the dirt off with a wet paper towel.
They are easy to style and they stretchy and comfortable.

When I am not sure what to wear I go for black and white. I know that wide leg trousers in black always look great and slimming. I pair it with a black and white chevron sweater that has a peplum hem highlighting my waist and a gold fake button that goes well with my jewelry. How to refresh your wardrobe for 2026 without buying anything new?
Tip #1: We all have black pants and white button down shirt in our wardrobe. It’s the old time classic. Wear the shirt untucked and tie a silk scarf over the waist in a matching or complementary colors for the updated look. With classic items they will never know if it’s Prada or Zara - as long as they fit well. Don’t forget to add some jewelry, preferably in metal like silver or gold.
Second tip is to mix and match your old pieces in a new way. I’m wearing my old sweater with crisp white shirt underneath. You can wear tee shirt under for refreshed look. Pin the hem of the sweater with vintage brooch or two so it looks interesting and adds shape to your body.
Lastly, don’t be afraid to mix and match the fancy festive pieces with casual and business clothes for the relaxed current look.

You don’t need new trendy clothes to look current this winter. All the pieces I am wearing today I already have in my closet.

Start with a white tee and a pair of wide leg jeans that minimize my wide hips and elongate legs. Let’s tuck the shirt in for warmth since it’s winter.
Next I am wearing a striped blue and white shirt under a soft grey knit — easy layers that look fresh.
Pin the sweater’s hem on a side to show a bit of shape. I am pairing the jeans with the sleek low heel ankle boots.
The brooch and the jewelry elevate the whole look from plain to polished.
I am wearing the tailored coat and structured bag to add structure without feeling stiff.

The unexpected color combo of blue, gray and brown looks fresh and makes the look current but still age appropriate.

New Years party outfits for your body shape. The idea is to create an hourglass shape with a waist being thinnest and shoulders and hips widths balanced.

So if you are pear shaped, you need to visually enlarge your upper body - shoulders and chest to balance wide hips.

If you are apple shaped, larger upper body, chest and stomach and thinner legs, you need to minimize the top and add volume to the hips and legs using a-line siluettes and lighter colors for the bottom part of the outfits, creating v-neck line at the top.

If you are oval shape with a protruding round midsection, add vertical lines to your outfit with an open blazer, cardigan or scarf.

If you arre rectanglural shape, wear belts to create a waist. And you are an hourglass shape, you are lucky girl who can wear anything :)
