My mom always taught me to buy once and buy good. Quality over trendy has served me well over the years. For example, my console table. I purchased it from Pier 1 Imports for my very first apartment after I graduated from college in the late 90s. It’s solid pine, and I loved it and have dragged it with me to 2 apartments and two homes since then. So, splurge on the good stuff once in awhile. Because it’s worth it and it will last.
